Naive or not, all this speculation could be ended by a very quick statement from him.

“All this speculation is exactly that. I have never said anything to the press and statements attributed to me are untrue. “

This would have no bearing on what happens next but it might, just might, act like Vaseline as he eases out the club, or, begins his rehabilitation within the club.

Problem is, the Rat bastard has said nothing in any sense or direction. That’s a condemnation as it goes and doesn’t help his case one way or the other.

Simon Jordan was saying the saying nothing is probably to allow potential row back in case the transfer falls through. Whether people believe him is another thing obviously but he can say “well actually I didn’t say that”. He’s using the media to try and force the move but if it doesn’t happen there aren’t actually any quotes from him saying “I definitely want out” even if his actions say it loud and clear.

Interestingly Jordan was saying he hopes we maintain our stance. I see quite a few in the media are starting to question Isak now, McCoist, Merson etc

One other thing to consider, and I don’t know the extent to which this plays a part in his decision making, but as far as I know he’s alone here… in Newcastle. His family visit, but he doesn’t have a partner or kids.

That inevitably means he has less ties here… he hasn’t built a life here… he hasn’t got a family invested or intertwined in the community here, helping him make these decisions.

He’s alone, and likely his agent has a huge sway over his day to day and future decisions.

Contrast that to other players who are truly settled here… Bruno, Big Joe, Gordon, Barnes, Sven… they’re all fully invested in the community.

Not that surprised that he’s on his own, even prior to all this shit kicking off he struck me as a loner

I would never have predicted how he’d behave this summer, because I thought he seemed like a sound lad with a sensible head on his shoulders. But I always felt he was a transient character

I thought we’d get a few years out of him then he’d leave amicably for somewhere bigger and he’d show no emotion on his way out the door. We’d have just been his employer and a stepping stone in his career

When's the deadline for registering your 25 man squad for the season - presumably just after the transfer window closes? If Ramsey signs, we must be pretty close to that 25-man limit now?

When window closes, under 21's don't have to be named.

Champions League squad I think is only 21 because we don't have any club-developed over-21s

How much freedom do you reckon a players agent has to spread shit in the media without the player knowing about/OK:ing everything first? 🤔

"Don't worry Isak, I've got this, I'll have you in a Liverpool shirt the week before Newcastle play Celtic"

Today? I reckon he'll threaten to jump off the Redheugh bridge is we don't sell him.

He’s going to apply for the next season of Love Island to avoid playing until December

If the dippers get Leoni & Guehi thats their spend up to 340m. IF they stump up the Isak money that will be close to a half a billion in one window 😂 Slot digging his own grave IMO

Never forget, allowing the current champions to spend £340m is keeping the league competitive

If teams striving for the top are allowed to spend hundreds of millions to strengthen, then that’s anti-competitive

And that my friends, is PSR

Just crossed my mind, that the fact Isak is always exhausted after 60-70 mins and is not really much about endless running and pressing like Murphy, Elanga, Isak or Barnes (and Almiron and Longstaff prior). I mean that, if he just doesn't want to play Howe's football? If he is just a bit of a lazy footballer? Playing in a team like Liverpool means you are doing a lot less pressing and having the ball a lot more.

More likely the reason is money and trophies though.

I will probably end up standing there negotiating with him for hours.

the only saving grace is that it’s August not February so I won’t be freezing my arse off whilst doing so. Spent many hours stood on the middle of that bridge over the years.

because they started to understand if Isak succeeded to get the move he wants by being a cunt, what’s up next would be their own players doing the same
