Yep , personally think it's a load of bollocks peddled by him and his agent to make them look better . If Isak had made it clear he wanted away before the transfer window opened then he would be at Liverpool now and we would have Ekitike.

We played celtic on the 19th of July. It was after that he 'wanted to explore his options'. The window opened on June 1st, he should have made his intentions clear then or preferably before so we knew what we needed by the time the window opened.

This same guy was the one saying he was happy at Newcastle 2 months ago. Don't take everything Ornstein says as gospel.

Hiring a journalist for a game to talk about a transfer is proper weird behaviour as well.

it doesn’t square at all with Eales saying publicly that they wanted to start contract talks at the end of the season back in March.

But we’ve established he isn’t being greedy. He’s being paid half as much as dozens of PL players who aren’t anywhere near as good. So calling him greedy is the typical thick response. And the singing at the game is the exactly what his agent wants to make a return untenable. It just helps nothing. I’ve said he’s been a twat. We all know he’s been a twat. Don’t take the bait though.

To be fair I think there is a very fair argument that he is being to some extent greedy. It seems to be the case that when we signed him we tripled his wages. At that point a contract was agreed for a period of time. He was happy to sign the contract no doubt having read the contract and having had the contents explained to him by his agent and lawyers. Less than two years into that contract ask for more money (whilst seemingly commonplace in football) does have to by its occurrence infer some element of greed. Just because there are poorer players earning more than him doesn’t make it not greedy and nor is this not commonplace in football and even in other professions.

Also greed isn’t only relevant to money. He’s taken the glory and adulation and hoyed it back at the fans. He’s mugged the team off yesterday and used the club. Eddie’s and the team have coached him and improved him and he’s shat on them - all of that is greedy.

I don't believe the notion that he told management that he wanted to leave awhile ago because the whole Hugo thing would make no sense.

Also, why would Eddie have him come for the tour to just randomly send him home? feels like that was the moment he told us.

All that other shit is noise that Isak's camp is using as a way to paint him in a better light.

"One greedy bastard" is definitely a lazy chant like. Distin got it even though we refused to give him parity with other first-team regulars and Sir Bobby preferred Bramble. Owen got it but we forced his hand to join us by going ridiculously over what Liverpool offered. Pretty sure he'd have went to Liverpool if he had a choice.

Isak just wants what the best wage possible for what one of the best strikers in the world could earn. He's being a cunt the way he's going on, but I don't think greedy.

And us in a worse light. We are holding him prisoner [emoji38]

It probably is a lazy chant but I also think there is definitely an element of greed. To be fair their is an argument that absolutely anybody wanting to earn more than 10 grand a week is greedy.

I don't see it. Lazy, international football-centric and couldn't give a fuck for the most part, aye.

Not his fault we stuck £100k a week in front of him and £16m to Real Madrid. He wanted to leave to play football for the 2006 World Cup, he wanted Liverpool but we blew them out the water.

Also it’s must be considered greedy to be paid and yet not turn up to do your job….

When he told the club he wanted to leave is a moot point really, the fact is that no club has met our valuation of him.

Which he could argue that we should back up with wages.

But…..we don’t have a contract with other clubs. He does with us.

The Isak stuff on here is beyond embarrassing mind. ‘We’ll be better without him’, singing songs about him being greedy. Yeah he’s been unprofessional and a twat but get a grip.

What’s embarrassing is your enduring fetish for contrariness. Embarrassing, and weird.
