Has to be the approach now anyway, surely. We don't have the time or the available players to get the Isak replacement. He can't be sold.

We need one striker who can do a job and cross our fingers that the lanky Judas can be brought back in.

That's a risky strategy. Unless they've had some "encouragement" from Isak.

The risky strategy is actively looking to sign a Wilson replacement until the end of the window. If they wait that long, chances are they will end up with no one because clubs won't sell.

Isak has no say in this. He can stamp his feet all he wants. If he’s not for sale he’s not for sale. 3 years left on his contract [emoji38] Tail will be firmly between his legs 2nd September if not before.

Might be the Brentford Judas joining our Judas.

I'd guess at thuis point its easier to get a Wilson replacement than an Isak one. Also a Wilson replacement isn't as pressing if Isak gives indications that he'll play if any move isn't sorted by the end if the window. One better than none so to speak.

I mean if hes indicated that after the window, if he hasn't moved his position softens and he plays.

I should have worded that more clearly. I meant the risky strategy was to leave it until the end of the window to sign a replacement for Wilson. It should have been done yesterday, but I guess we don't really have much option now but to hope the selling club will relent. That means it's out of our hands somewhat.

As any Isak transfer would likely be in the top five, maybe even top three, most expensive transfers of all time, surely it’s completely unrealistic to expect a deal of that level to get sorted in the last three or four days of the window. God knows the level of detail drawing up that kind of contract would involve.

If nothing’s afoot by the middle of next week I think they can kiss it goodbye for this window.

Facebook mam Joanne Wissa with Judas Isakrat, bringing down snake and hater Premier League men. Relationships set to 'It's complicated' but it's just them and the goals from now on.

Maybe I'm deluded, but I don't even see there being a possibility he won't play if he haven't sold him come the end of the window. How would it benefit him at all to do that?
