You'd think, if liverpool were that serious, they'd have offered to cover any loses he'd have made by handing in a transfer request.

I think they've already coughed up for his car tax.

Maybe dont put your signature on a 6 year contract if you don't understand how legally binding it is you undereducated buffoon. Maybe now he's got it through his thick head that it's not going to happen. If he has just one decent advisor, they'll tell him to play against Liverpool to get the Newcastle fans back on side as he's stuck here for at least one more season. It's a get out of jail card.

Monday is going to be an absolute firepit. Hopefully we dont get pumped.

I don't think that's in his gift even if he wanted to. He'd have to declare himself available first but Eddie won't select him without any pre-season or proof that's he's giving his all. He won't feature until after the international break, provided he's still here at that point.

I was enjoying all the Liverpool fans losing their heads over not getting Isak but one bid for Wissa and they're certain they're signing him again.

I'm still of the opinion that Wissa is Wilson's replacement, regardless of need - besides, we need to strikers in to break even for the extra  games this season - wasn't it reported somewhere that we won't let the rat go unless we get two strikers in?

Oh absolutely. I suppose it makes things slightly more likely, as it removes one of three blocks to the sale. But I'm not sure the other two will be reached (another striker and a 150m bid).

Whatever happens from here on in the club cannot sell him. I’m so concerned we’ll get Wissa & another and let him go. I’ll be so so disappointed in this club if it happens

If we did this and got our £150m valuation Id be happy, if we did this and didn't get the full valuation I'd defo not be happy!

The club said they don’t foresee the conditions of a sale this summer being met.

I can’t imagine they weren’t able to foresee the purchase of Wissa, so it’s fair to assume the Wissa purchase means nothing for Isak.

Yep, regardless of what we do. We simply cannot let him go this summer. We have until the end of next June to ‘bank’ the money. He can’t go this year, no way on earth.

I’ll be fucking so, so disappointed in the club if we do.

He’s here for another season.

It’s Ruddy isn’t it. He’s also primed to go nuclear when Barca or Real come calling

funnily enough, Ruddy is the only senior player to like Newcastles insta post about Isak yesterday [emoji38] not sure why I find that so funny:

everywhere he's been John Ruddy has been regarded as the ultimate model professional. I can imagine what he thinks about Isak's behaviour

It would have been great if the club ended up saying that they were looking into their options regarding the conduct of Liverpool, and called out the likes of Romano for being complicity, as well as saying that NUFC under the current ownership structure will never engage in transfer activity with Liverpool FC again.

Let’s pick our battles, we don’t need to blow this up further at present. Our job until September is to get our squad in the best place possible

It's very rare for a footballer to stay at one club for a significant length of time.

Especially if that player has no ties or loyalty to a club.

If salary is the only influencing factor then you are buying loyalty and it will only last until the player feels his loyalty is undervalued.

Don't be a dick, even tell positive lies if you true nature is being a dick. How easy would it have been to say

"I've had the best years of my career at Newcastle but now I am at a stage where I want to win major trophies.

I had hoped it would be with Newcastle but PSR rules inhibit the club from reaching both mine and their collective goals.

I leave with regrets but hope you understand the reasons why and I leave with a heavy heart and a life time of memories.

Howay the Lads."

Every supporter would have been on his side, the press would pick up on the PSR issue and he would leave a hero

You’re a loss to football-agent fuckwittery.
