I'm ok with him now tbh. Sounds sincere enough to me. Good luck Alex.

I don't think I will ever forgive him.  Yes he helped bring success but Newcastle and Eddie Howe made him the player he is today.  Without Newcastle there is no Liverpool.  I always knew he would eventually leave, it was inevitable for a player of his ability.  But not now, not like this.  Yes a footballers career is short but he owed us one more season - leave properly - with dignity.  But his selfishness totally torpedoed our transfer window, we had to rush to buy players, massively over paying in some cases (Wissa) and taking a huge risk with others (Woltemade).  Who knows what the longterm impacts of that -rather than giving us time to find more suitable replacements.  He also cost the team vital points in the league.   So I do not wish Alex well - he is a selfish p***k and pray he doesn't win a single thing at Liverpool (as unlikely that is).

I like Craig, he does a reasonable job. I'd rather eat a pie with him than Lee Ryder, pastry flakes flying everywhere and curry sauce on his chin.

Hope would let you eat the pie, then tell you afterwards it wasn't cooked through properly, before trying to get sensationalised scoops from you, the cook and pub goers for weeks afterwards.

I'll take the option where I buy my own dinner and don't need to see or listen to either of them.

Now that the dust has settled. In all honesty - thanks for the goals and helping elevate this club to a higher level as well as setting the modern day standard for what a proper Newcastle United striker can be.

Utter shit way to leave from a professional perspective, from a career perspective he has no bias towards us and no doubt puts his career first.

I'll be thankful for him but I can't wish him well based on the way he's left and the impact it's had on our summer and early season.
