In isolation, what the Liverpool guy says has an element of truth but it's thoroughly disingenuous to state that about Edwards and not acknowledge that his own club were doing the same thing, but a thousand times worse. I mean, they had a guy shouting their corner who made an appearance on the CL draw show FFS. That's what the power and influence of being a cartel club gets you - sway from the most influential but the very worst in football.

His interview has made me feel a whole lot better.

He wants Liverpool to help him to retire with more money and more trophies. For him. Personally. Not a thought about what he can do for Liverpool.

Probably try to injure Ekitike or Salah in training if he’s not starting games 🤣

I think Edwards told the truth. Up until the PIF/Reuben vist to Isak's house, the club was determined to keep him. Then PIF folded.

On the other hand, whoever was feeding him that line from the club would have also known that PIF might fold. So he was acting as the mouthpiece of the club.

It’s clearly Reuben who’s feeding him this

Fabrizio Romano made a "star" appearance on that awful entertainment piece shown before the draw, the one with Zlatan walking about in a towel acting as some sort of supervillian or summick...I didn't really understand what the fuck was going on.

Reuben needs to shut the fuck up and get in with running the club and all. Nevermind leaking shite to Jim White about it a "transformational window". We'll only know that at the end of the season. Sort out the stadium. Training ground and the key staff in the club structure then start flapping your gums.

Online Liverpool fans are so insufferable and inescapable that I actually feel bad for Luke Edwards. A remarkable achievement

They're the absolute worst people on the planet.

I am hoping one good things comes out of the Isak mess - PIF wake up and start demonstrating that ambition they talk about.  Get in a bloody CEO, get in a new DOF, get a new training ground built and announce plans for the new stadium.  If PIF don't start following through more players will be out the door.

I'm imagining PIF going round to his house like that scene in the Sopranos, where Paulie and Chris go to Valery's house

Yasir fondling Isak's stuff.

"put universal remote on docking station"

All went downhill from there.

Not going to happen, I'm afraid.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they've managed to arrange a sweetheart deal for Salah to go to one of their clubs next summer on the back of this Isak transfer.
