Quite a unique this one innit. Normally you'd think people are jumping the gun far too quickly about their signings and that they'll end up with egg on their faces when they end up being really good. With this I think we're all just getting in there while we can and enjoying them being shit.

Imagine if they sack him and come in for Howe...

Think Isak will come good when he gets up to scratch like. Long may this continue though

That's exactly it  I can't speak for anyone else but personally will feel no sense of regret or shame over my excitable shitposting about him if he finally comes good

Isak signed a six-year contract, and they say he's making 300k a week. Plus, he probably got a nice signing bonus, and his agent got a big payday from Liverpool for making it happen.

Honestly, he's set. He won't care if he sucks. He's got his money for six years. The way he and his agent acted this summer should have been a major red flag for Liverpool, they clearly were in it for the money not sporting ambition.

So, it's not worth revelling in how bad he's been for them as that does not affect him one bit. He and his agent are swimming in the £ as was their goal. So they won. Even if he is dog shite for the next 6 years for them. He still won.

I'm just enjoying Liverpool's misfortune and hoping both Wirtz and Isak totally bomb this season. While salah and VVD fall of a cliff.

In this story. No matter how it turns out. Isak and his agent won.

You are projecting your attitude towards making money on players. You perhaps don't take any pride or care in what you do, provided you're making money regardless.

Isak was already making very good money.

You must be joking if you think he won't care about sucking at Liverpool and the move being a disaster, just because of the money he's making.

I think most people would feel bad about doing a shit job and struggling at their new job like. Actually the fact you’ve had a massive pay rise might make it even worse.

Of course he has the underlying comfort that’s he’s rich and can’t be sacked. But it’s all relative.

Obvs it’s not really at the point where the non-online world will be saying he’s doing badly. It’s very early days.

Bearing in mind I believe Galatasaray got tanked 5-1 off Entract Franfurt in previous CL  game , Bin Dippers should of had them at there mercy, but Gala did well.

Could turn out to be the biggest fraud since Amorin landed in Manchester.

Unless he’s got ambition of going to Real Madrid / Barcelona (in which you’d think he’d put in a release clause this time if he does have that ambition), I do believe he won’t give a shit if he’s spell at Liverpool is crap as long as he wins the trophies he joined them for. He could be there for 4 years, be back up for majority of that and return average figures, and he’ll most likely walk away with a prem title and maybe UCL.

That’s the gamble he pushed for by leaving us, increased chance of winning those two things.

I think Isak has plenty of pride in what he does. My hope is that he realises Liverpool isn't what he thought it would be and he misses being the main man like he was over here. He would still enjoy scoring goals, but maybe he puts in 20% less effort because he doesn't like a bald manager calling him out publicly for any bad games.

If it was all about money and nothing else he would have gone to Saudi for millions a week.

That guy has an ego, and was talking about winning everything at Liverpool, in his intro video there.

For as long as possible I'll be hoping this only gets worse and worse from here, and they win absolutely nothing.

He was definitely starting to think very highly of himself, and I don't think he gave anywhere near enough credit to the work Howe did with him, and the system Howe played to get the best out of him.

I just really hope Slot is one that is stubborn with his approach and doesn't change it, because the way they play currently, is going to make it difficult for him to perform like he did at Newcastle.
