Jack14Bojangles
He only thrived in the great environment at Toon. Wolte is much more talented and an instinctive player. Wolte lives football. It's a blessing from God that Isak left and Woltemade came.
oldtype
Roughly a quarter of the season is gone. Bro has 1 goal and 1 assist in 10 games for club and country combined. This is beyond "he's not fit/out of form" at this point. Fourth largest transfer in world football history. You don't buy those players to gradually ease them into the team. Maybe he turns it around, but I think we're at least allowed to fantasize about the idea that he may not. Edited October 22, 2025 by oldtype
Jewel
4 minutes ago, Erikse said: Arne Slot on Isak “He had to come off as he felt his groin a bit.” That's him out of action for the next 2 months then. Blessing in disguise for Slot because now he can pick Ekitike without any external pressure.
Moose
Isak + Groin injury = Didn't fancy it and needed an excuse to sit this one out. The heart of a mouse and groin made of candy floss

KaKa
The groin issue was becoming such a concern with this guy, for me personally. It's such an awful injury and the fact his always flares up every now and again is terrifying. Probably needs surgery to clear up the issue properly. With the way this whole thing is playing out, it's a good thing we took the money and got rid.

He might be a cunt but he hasn't murdered or hurt anyone. Brentford fans aren't wishing this on Wissa and it makes us look a horrible fanbase. It's nice to see the grass isn't greener for him but we need to cut this stupid bollocks. He's gone. He might of cost his country WC qualification and he looks crap for Liverpool. That's enough. I want him to suffer because I'm a petty and vindictive cunt, but also because it will hopefully send a message to others that the grass isn't always greener on other side. I want there to be consequences for the way Isak behaved throughout the summer.

oldtype
This is why sane people don't go on strike btw. You are choosing to mess up your fitness, risk injury, and potentially ruin an entire season of your prime. (cough, Wissa, cough). Danh1
I know it may come across as knee jerk but I think next summer the football world will be talking about how incredible it was to get the fee we did for the rat, and bring in a player as talented as Woltemade. Many already saying it.

Theregulars
Certainly you’d hope for a quicker return on such a sizeable investment but I’m going to wait for season’s end before I crow at any Liverpool fans I know, I’ve seen him score too many goals at this level to think he won’t figure it out. I do wonder slightly whether he’s struggling to come to terms with the reality of the consequences of attracting all that scrutiny and negative attention; acting such an arsehole means you have to prove yourself immediately (because your public position is that you’re better than the job you had). He’s given himself no room for manoeuvre. Wonder also whether he has a hang up about establishing himself at a Name club after he disappointed at Dortmund. I think it’s still too plausible to argue that it’s early days and no pre-season etc, annoyingly. He best be careful as he can’t be far off a Scouse house burgling, the e-version is even less patient than the in-person bindipper. As an aside I received a one game suspension from my weekly friendly 7s for calling one of the Liverpool fans a bindipper. Would do again tbph

I'm not sure either, especially with Ekitike playing so well. It'll be interesting to see how Slot handles this. Apparently, Salah just stormed off down the tunnel at full time. Wissa and Nick outscore him this season, and my hate watch is complete.

Mike
He'll find his form but fuck me this is hilarious. That team won't wait for him, they have too many options and that fanbase won't accomodate his performances because he means nothing to him, but he got the raise he wanted so he's probably fine with all of it.
