Probably why he refused to train. Worried he's injure himself and fail a medical.

The ultimate selfish bastard. Fucked us over with his shenanigans, fucked over his country by not being fit, playing shit and costing them a WC place and now fucking over his current club paying him 15m a year to be shit and injured. Guy should be a pariah in the league and ridiculed and shunned everywhere.

I'm starting to think that Klopp wouldn't have gone near Isak like. He'd have got Ekitike and concentrated on other positions. Slot probably couldn't believe that Liverpool would go all in on both and just got greedy. It'll fuck him over hopefully because he doesn't seem to know how to cope with the decisions he needs to make. He looks like he's drowning already.

On a loosely related note - didn't like Shearer's comments this weekend, one of those TikTok fluff pieces, someone asked him if he could have played for anyone who he didn't play for, who would it have been - and he said Liverpool. Tone deaf comments there. Read the comments and naturally was full of Liverpool fans saying even their best player loves us etc

Think both of Isak's groins never mind one would blow up playing under Klopp.

I watched a good bit of his interview recently and the bit with the sound bite, he re-affirms that he wouldn’t manage another club in England and he says hypothetically it’s possible “so yeah” - but then goes on to say that he doesn’t miss coaching at all and he’s getting everything he needs from his current role while still being connected to the game in the same way.

He also discusses Slot and is asked about the transfers this summer and his line is basically “of course it’s not firing yet as it takes time” which I think will ease the pressure on Slot in some ways.. obviously not if they keep losing, that interview was filmed before they played Man Utd.

It is important to consider the context; Shearer grew up during a period when Liverpool was unequivocally the most prominent club in England. They literally dominated that era, late 70s to mid 80's Had he grown up in the 1990s or 2000s, he would likely have favored Manchester United. Nothing wrong with that, also there is no context or balance on social media. Its a cesspit of lies, propaganda, bickering, baiting, goading, and provoking.

“Other than this great football club (Newcastle), probably Liverpool,” Shearer said. “I went to the Kop when I was a young boy to watch an FA Cup game. But I was more than happy with my choice of being here at Newcastle and Blackburn.”

With their defensive problems they really should have gone with Guehi over Isak. Increasingly glad they did though, watching Slot bumble about so far is fun.

Agree, but when they’re leaking goals or look shaky, I always notice VVD. Never known a more over-lauded defender. He has a couple top seasons when the team is clicking perfectly. When there’s any problem, you see how lazy and willing to let others take the blame he is. Amount of times he sees danger, jogs, now they’re being countered, hes screaming at lads who are trying but failing, finally, far too late he sprints and slides into his net and throws his hands in the air, everyone else’s fault. This will be his 3rd season where it’s his standout trait.

Liverpool in crises after a few bad results? Give me a break.

They're not in crisis but they've definitely been found out.

Was obvious earlier in the season that playing badly then fluking last minute winners all the time wasn't going to be sustainable, they're lucky not to be below us to be honest.

Isn't the big difference really just that Salah isn't scoring at an absolute ridiculous rate like last season? They're playing the exact same way, but last year (and earlier in the season to am extent) Salah would just pull out an incredible finish from nowhere.

The form of Salah is a major factor for sure, however I think defensively they’ve been found wanting this season.

I think that's a chunk of it, but they're clearly much more frail at the back too. I don't remember them ever looking as wobbly from set pieces and counter attacks last season as they do this season.

Weetabix heed fucking nakka, been flapping his gums about moving to a new stadium today as well, clearly got nothing but disdain towards the club.

Slot is basically admitting that he can't coach his team well enough to deal with the aerial threats into their own box. He knows it's coming, he's complaining about it publically and he's got no option but to try and shame teams into not doing it as it's making them look bad. He's highlighting his own team's vulnerabilities and his own incompetence to put things in place to mitigate it despite spending about £400m in the summer

And this fucker wants sympathy? Their late goals in the first month of the season papered over the cracks, he's in the process of completely fucking it. He's looking and sounding absolutely desperate at this stage
