Kid Icarus Posted Thursday at 11:21 Share Posted Thursday at 11:21 I'm sure this has happened to us before where one of our players that's been nominated for player of the season won't (or probably won't) win our own player of the season.

Cristov Posted Thursday at 12:45 Share Posted Thursday at 12:45 Hope the votes in the pfa player of the season award gets split between Liverpool players as I've got £5 on Isak at
MagPar Posted Thursday at 13:03 Share Posted Thursday at 13:03 Salah will win without a shadow of a doubt. Isak about 4th after votes are counted.

Why they do these things during the season baffles me! Forest might finish 7th but have 2 players in it!

healthyaddiction Posted Thursday at 13:26 Share Posted Thursday at 13:26 I'm presuming it is done the same way the player of the month is done. The votes impact the final result a tiny amount. It's really not worth voting at all.
The College Dropout Posted Thursday at 13:36 Share Posted Thursday at 13:36 2 hours ago, James said: that’s not the point. We will play 50-60 games next season. Isak can’t play them all + what if he is properly injured? the fact that we’d rather play an injured Isak right now speaks volumes about the alternatives. there has to be a striker incoming I’m going to sound like a broken record. Most top teams do not have a dedicated backup striker. The backup striker is a player that can play in numerous positions so is guaranteed minutes in every scandio. If they do have a backup striker it’s a kid or veteran. Man City’s backup striker plays on the wings and as a 10. Barcelona’s Ferran plays on the wings. Real Madrid have a teenager, last season they had a 34-year old Joselu. In all honesty our backup striker is going to be (1) our new RW if that’s an Mbeumo or Cunha type, (2) Anthony Gordon, (3) Osula, (4) Callum Wilson. If we sign an out and out striker it’s going to be a DCL type free transfer/body. Who will play the same role as Wilson is playing now. A half fit Kane always started. A half fit Haaland starts. A half fit Lewandowski starts. I think we sign a tactically flexible wide forward to give us forward options between him and Gordon.
The College Dropout Posted Thursday at 13:39 Share Posted Thursday at 13:39 I said at the time, Chris Wood is about as good a backup striker we could have.
AyeDubbleYoo Posted Thursday at 13:39 Share Posted Thursday at 13:39 Surely we’re expecting Wilson to go.

Logically he should, but Ritchie and Dummett would still be here now if City hadn't made an arse of the cup final. We've got a European campaign next year and I've a nagging feeling we retain him on that basis. Which is fine as long as we bring in another forward option of some kind and he's there in an emergency cover role.

Kanj Posted Thursday at 15:24 Share Posted Thursday at 15:24 The shrewd move would be to get DCL on a free, and let Wilson go.

Alberto2005 Posted Thursday at 15:50 Share Posted Thursday at 15:50 I do think Eddie is a bit too loyal with Wilson, if he does stay I hope it doesn't halt Osula's development.
GavMcEl Posted Thursday at 16:12 Share Posted Thursday at 16:12 Maybe im biased and have me black n white goggles on... but How has tonali not been nominated, easily in the top 3 midfielders in Europe this season ? If he was playing way liverpool, city, arsenal 100 percent he'd be in that shortlist
