Haaland maybe the best the best goal scorer in the league but Isak is the better footballer and it isn't even close.

It's an absolute disgrace he doesn't have a goal to show for this game. He is monstrous. His movement at times is something else.

It's a win win with Isak and feels a lot like the  Andy Cole situation all over again.

 

If He stays well will have one of the best strikers in the world.

 

If he goes the money will fund the next stage of the team rebuild.

If we want to win something we cannot sell this lad - I pray we make the CL as not only will it help keep the likes of Isak from wanting to leave, the money we'll generate from being in it will help us not need to sell him.

His touch and turn for the 1-2 with Gordon leading up to the goal was sublime. That as much as the strike itself would have made it an all-time great of ours had it gone in.  Glad Murphy preserved it for posterity

For his future - the lad seems happy here. He looks settled with the city and is enjoying his football. Am sure he will see assurances for his career to come - CL football and being at the top end, which is of course fair enough. I hope he stays for the next 10 years, though I imagine it will be hard to keep him if the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern or Barca come knocking with a huge bid.

 

He seems like a really decent lad too  - a proper modern day role model for any youngsters watching. Great to see   Am sure he will be spoken of in the future in the same way as Wor Jackie, Supermac, Keegan, Andy Cole, Ferdinand and Shearer.

Love his energy and willingness to work despite knowing he can stand still and deliver. Absolute dream of a striker...can see he tires early but what he does is priceless

I continue to be impressed by what a good job he does when jostling with defenders for position, considering his frame.

 

Especially when you see how badly someone like Havertz struggles with the physicality.

Gabriel goes from one of the biggest gobshites and most aggressive players in the league. To looking like a scared little boy against Isak. 
 

As for Saliba, well. Redknapp stole my American Football Quarterback (Sam Darnold) analogy that I used for these two after the first leg. “It’s like he’s seeing ghosts out there/it’s like he’s seen a ghost.”
 

He looks so shaky and unsure of himself on and off the ball compared to usual.
 

Baring in mind this is one of the tightest CB pairings in the league and best in the world. Who regularly do a quality job of controlling Haaland and bossing him physically, even. 
 

Three games this season:

 

Goal after finding space between them for a bullet header. 
Goal after pulling off and finding space where they’re not from a free kick. 
Shot that was saved and led to a goal. 
Goal ruled off because of a gnat’s cock offside. 
Hit the post after rinsing Saliba and it led to a goal. 
MOTM in at least 2/3 games and ran them ragged all night. 
 

If we win the 4th game to nil and he gives them the runaround again. I might die from smiling too hard

Probably the main reason I want us to get CL football. He’s too good not to be playing in that competition at all.
