Ellis H
How difficult is it to kick it as hard as possible in the bottom corner? I’m convinced most players are fine with missing as long as they get to look proper mint if it actually goes in.

Stifler
Needs 151 goals for us now to break Shearer's record. If we keep a hold of him, it’s entirely doable. Edited February 23 by Stifler

Ice cold and usually makes the keeper look stupid into the bargain. Usually just a well placed low shot with the keeper going the wrong way, perfect. This one he definitely got away with though, craziest shit I've seen in a while
Newcastle Fan
Had him as my fpl captain so that penalty really made me shit myself but well done to him once again, he's not getting proper service these days but good to see him back with two goals. I'm sure there are loads of players who do that successfully, but there are also loads who do that but miss. Isak is one of the best penalty takers we've had in my memory. Probably only Shearer would inspire more confidence. I think when a player has a penalty record as good as Isak you just let him get on with it personally. joeyt
Isak being only our 2nd player to score 50 PL goals says a lot about Shola's "achievements" at the club

Amazing stats if he’d been a playing any other position than striker. Wonder what his average minutes played was across that 294 games
Conjo
Shola played a fair amount of games out wide too, as crazy as that sounds.

James
I still love Shola. Our best ever penalty taker. Scoring vs Barcelona in the CL. Souness basically destroyed his body, if Shola had been looked after at that stage of his career he’d have gone on to be our third best PL era striker, I am certain of it. Actually, statistically penalties are best placed down the middle as goalkeepers almost always gamble and dive out the way. Obviously you look like a prize twat if the keeper just stands still and catches it, but mathematically it's the best option.

But avoiding Chris Waddling it is somewhat harder than just chipping the ball down the middle. Once everything is factored in, middle is apparently best. Once everything is factored in, middle is apparently best. You’ve got to mix it up though. You can’t just go down the middle all the time or after the first few the keepers will just start standing still. Next pen Isak gets he needs to drop the stutter-step. Keeper will be expecting it so won’t go early. Run up and side foot it in the corner. Keeper won’t react in time. Job’s a good un.
buzza
His run up, falter and then hit depending on where the keeper has gone seems to have been found out. Sels kept calm amd held his place as long as possible and nearly caught Isak out, needs to vary it a bit I think...
