Having said that, my suspicion would be that he could end up in a destination which never gets mentioned - he gets sold in the next couple of years to a PIF Saudi club for an insane amount of cash, and earns himself a million a week tax-free.

Funny how this one never gets mentioned in the press - but I reckon there’s more chance of that than him joining fucking Arsenal.

Arsenal can’t afford him, the clubs that can don’t need a new forward.

Agreed - Man City, Bayern and Real have CFs; Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, and Arsenal wouldn’t have the FFP headroom; Juve, AC Milan, Inter, Barcelona and Man Utd don’t have the money.

The odd one out is PSG - not sure if that would appeal to Isak.

Are Barcelona in that World Club tournament this Summer?  That might give them a decent amount of cash.  Although being Barcelona, they have probably already spent that in advance.

New economic levers. Heard they’re harvesting a kidney from each of the Academy kids in La Masia to pay Dani Olmo’s wages for next month.

Would Liverpool be able to afford him considering the wages they are gettin off the books potentially?

Probably.

Whether they'd sanction such a move, given the budget they'll be working in and the amount of players they require is a different matter.

PIF playing the long game by spending like £100m+ on Neymar etc, in preparation for when we have a top star, they spend £150m+ and it’s justified market value.

Look at that picture man ...

That win and the implications will have impacted the players so much.

Easy to forget that before Newcastle things were quite inconsistent for Isak despite having always been a very highly rated prospect.

It's all come together at Newcastle. Joining the club made him the star he is now.

On top of that the club has a lot of talent in the first team and plays a style that allows him to flourish.

There is also the ambition to continue to build on the team going forward and improve further. This will be back on track from this summer now we are better navigating PSR.

He is apparently going to be offered a lucrative contract as the lead man in the team.

Now imagine leaving to join Arsenal or Liverpool in spite of all that, just because they are a "big club" and have more "legacy".

When the reality is there's really no guarantees of anything going forward for anyone other than Man City, who are overpowering everyone with the crazy money they have from their dodgy sponsorship deals.

Personally, I think he'd be nuts to join an Arsenal or Liverpool this summer. And I'd seriously be questioning the guys intelligence if he pushed for that.

An unrelated point, in his relatively short NUFC career to date he's done well to have 5 celebrations that he's made pretty famous. Hands on hips v West Ham, the fuck is going on in the 5-1 Spurs game, sliding knees with the guns against almost everyone, the get back against everyone and now the cup final goal.

6-1 spurs, let's not let them get away with nothing but the full humiliation
