How did he play? On Google he got the joint top stars which was him and the goalscorer but not sure what means much. Was rated higher than all of the defence!

Nice, it’s early days so the rest of this post might be utter nonsense but with Tino here it’s hard to see how Ashby has a long-term future here as a starter so it comes down to whether he’d be happy being second in line or if not, then the better he plays this season the more interest there’ll be. Who knows, if we manage to get into Europe again he may be with us next season playing a fair few games, or of course injuries might affect things

There’s a good chance he could be second choice when tripps slows / retires as he’ll be a few years down the line by then. He does look comfortable going forward though as this was a great assist and he had a well taken goal in the summer.

If you assume Trippier ages out in 2-3 years then Ashby will likely battle Tino for that role.

If that's not the case, it wouldn't surprise me if Dan Ashworth/the club saw Ashby as someone we could sign for a few hundred thousand, develop via loans, and then flog for 5-10m depending on how he gets on. The early reports indicate he's comfortable at Championship level.

Having not watched any Swans games and going by this thread, yes indeed.

Cracking start.

I looked at a Swansea forum yesterday and they said there’s a caveat as his defending is really poor and he was competley to blame for their second goal.
