Always good to see the team to whose fans it matters way way more progressing.

Man Utd’s to lose now. Hope they get Roma next round with Mourinho primed to stink the place out all owa.

Keown: "This could be the start of something special for Arsenal"

*five minutes pass, in which they lose*

Keown: "Well, this could be a blessing in disguise for Arsenal, how important will this result turn out to be?"

So fucking annoying to hear pundits commentating on 'their' clubs as if they're doing a fucking club podcast.

I thought Arteta starting Vieira and Jorginho against these lot was a bit of a liberty, they were both so powder puff in midfield and it gave Sporting so much of an initiative. Sporting moved the ball too quickly for them in there and had decent tricky, quick players dropping into spaces too.

By the time Partey and Odegaard came on they started dominating, but ran out of time. Should have started stronger and looked to overwhelm sporting early on at home and then take guys off late on.

Poor form not having a lunchtime kick off today

Definitely. Even a top end Championship match would have been OK.

Man City vs Burnley and Chelsea vs Everton clash though at 5.45 and 5.30.

Really could do with Southampton and / or Leicester doing us a favour today.

They definitely deserve respect and are hard to beat, and do of course play us at their place, but I'm not as fussed about Brentford as the likes of Spurs, Liverpool, and Brighton. Brentford still have to play Man Utd, Brighton, Newcastle, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Man City in their final 12 games, so they would do very well to be up there at the end of the season, but yeah, while they are within touching distance, it would be preferable for them to drop points, and then we can actually hope they take points off some of those teams mentioned later in the season.

I think it's probably in our better interests to hope that Man City to come through today (and Man Utd tomorrow).

You absolutely cannot beat sitting down to watch the weekend football, knowing we have already done our job.

Come on Southampton and Leicester and Everton later on.

Man City, Leeds, Bournemouth, and Luton as well.
