Other games (2024/25)

Sheff Wed doing their best to bottle automatic promotion. Looking like a 6th game without a win here, Ipswich are winning comfortably (about 8 wins in a row), and Plymouth have got a late possible winner at Morecambe, so the Owls could be third by the end of the day, having played a game more than the other 2.

That's a mint badge and ground!

Yeah, it's a fantastic setting. Football Focus was hosted from there the weekend before last.

Phoenix club of course after Scarborough FC, a Football League regular, went out of business not too long after Abramovic's first Chelsea team visited them in the FA Cup.

It'll be strange being Josh Murphy. Just taken off for Oxford, a club in relegation trouble in the 3rd tier, whereas his twin is becoming a cult hero at the re-emerging club they both support.

Wrexham v Notts County on Monday.

Tasty.

Yep, back in Notts County's hands as it stands. You'd still rather be Wrexham as they are at home, and Notts will pretty much have to win the match, but if Wrexham lose today then they certainly have the opportunity. That's on BT Sport at 3pm.

Wrexham 3-1 down now, so looking like a loss there.

Wrexham still have a game in hand, like, which means it's still in their hands?

I think it's effectively in both teams' hands as they play each other

Yep, it's in both of their hands, and still advantage Wrexham for the reasons I mentioned earlier, but Wrexham had won 17 and drawn 2 of their last 19 league games before today, looking like they wouldn't be stopped, and for the first time for a quite a while Notts County are now in a position where they can win all their remaining matches and be very likely to win the league. Before today, they could have beaten Wrexham on Monday, won all their other games 5-0, and still miss out.

Wasn't he meant to be the more talented of the two (maybe by Norwich fans, don't recall) at the time we signed his brother? Seem to recall some noise we signed the "wrong" one or something.

Yeah, I actually legit had a 'Canary at work' about 7 years ago when they were breaking through, well before Jacob came here (and I didn't know they supported Newcastle at that time), and he was thinking Josh would be the better of the two.
