Don't think City are winning the league this year like, this is usually their prime time and they've been very ordinary last few games, even going back to Everton home a few weeks ago, either scraping wins or dropping points. No way this team doesn't lose at Anfield in a few weeks.

Haaland can't hit a cows backside with a banjo at the minute either

There is something about them that isn't quite as strong as usual. I think they were defeated a bit by the summer market, didn't they want Bellingham and rice, but got kovacic and nunes?

Deffo see it close this year, whereas last year's city I'd back comfortably to win this season

Yeah, I don't think they win the league

Whilst they are on a good run (8 wins in 9 with 1 draw) the last few matches has been underwhelming

Usually when they are on one of their runs they are like a juggernaut, they blast teams apart yet recently it's been a slog, they just about got a point against Chelsea and only just got past Brentford and now Bournemouth

I don't see them getting anything at Anfield and that run of games (Liverpool away, Brighton away and Arsenal at home) will be where it unravels for them

The best teams find ways to win when they aren’t playing well etc etc.

Their next five PL fixtures will decide it for sure. Man U, Liverpool, Brighton, Arsenal, Villa. Get through that relatively unscathed and they’re golden.

Bit strange that Sky have their two main games today overlapping

Pretty sure our kick off in the final last year was 4:30pm rather than 3pm

Aye, got changed to 3pm on police advice

What was their reason for that and not doing it last year?

Would have thought having a London-based club in the final would have been easier for the police than two Northern teams travelling down

What is making it apparent? Why don’t you want us to go that way?

Put the fishing rod away lad. Plastics with selfie sticks glued to their phones draped in freshly bought merchandise from the club shops. Not a shred of soul or atmosphere. Limited local accents. Compared to our efforts last year was a very different vibe.

Does the winner of this affect European placement / qualifications?

Just found this...

Do the winners of the Carabao Cup qualify for Europe?

The winner of Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final will gain qualification to the Europa Conference League play-off round in 2024/25.

If the winning Club qualifies for either the Champions League or Europa League through their league standing, the Europa Conference League place will revert back to the Premier League based on the final table.

So we need a liverpool win. Oh dear.

Yes. England gets 1 Europa Conference League spot which is given to the Carabao Cup winners unless they have already qualified for European competition, then it goes to league position.
