Really impressed with what Maresca has done. Obviously the money helps but they are fantastic going forward and with the ball.

Yeah, think people have forgotten how much Pochettino was struggling to put it all together.

He's come in right off the bat and got everything ticking.

Some extremely kind results for us this weekend despite how bad we have been the gap to top 6 is only 5 points not that based on current form can make that up mind.

Mad season in general.

Has there?

Villa vs Southampton - worst result

Palace vs Man City, probably irrelevant, but City winning would be better if had to have one

Man Utd vs Forest, usually would be a good result, but this year, a draw would have been better - that's 3 away bonus points for Forest

Fulham vs Arsenal, Arsenal win would have been better

Ipswich vs Bournemouth - worst result

Leicester vs Brighton - Leicester win would have been better, but better that Brighton blew a 2-0 lead

This Spurs match is pretty much the only result that's been good

I don't know why teams never just go man for man with Palmer.

Reminds of Pirlo just destroying England with passes.

With the freedom of the whole pitch to do so...

Spotting Spurs a two nil lead at home, only to come back and put four past them and win is so outrageous man.

Is it though? They're so open and Chelsea have so much fret it was only going one way.

Also.......

He's so much better and dangerous than everyone else they have that you really wonder why no one has like

For me you put a DM on him and say you go wherever he goes. Appreciate he's an amazing player but if your DM has a good game then hopefully it nullifies Chelsea.

Not what melodramatic means, Peter. Unless you're on about your commentary.

I can never get my head around why radio commentators are generally very good, but television commentators are almost without exception utterly wank at their jobs

I mean it was somewhat inevitable, but still pretty outrageous nonetheless

One thing about Spurs is when they win, they usually win well, but when they lose, it's always be 1 goal.

Wins = 4-0, 3-1, 3-0, 4-1, 4-1, 4-0, all bar one more by 3 or more
Loses = 1-2, 0-1, 2-3, 0-1, 1-2, 0-1, 3-4

So they have lost more than they have won this season, but are still +12 goal difference.

Radio commentators generally describe what they're seeing and give a clear representation of what's happening on the pitch but TV commentators just come up with entirely pointless stats and comments about shit that no one cares about

   They were flying until they weren't, it's definitely outrageous. Losing both CB's to injury who were rushed back adds to it as well.

The face on Daniel Levy man

This guy has been incapable of hiring the right manager for how many years now?!

If Ange is incompetent, what on Earth is he then? Guy is a joke.

Better in terms of slipping further down the league forget top 5 at all this season unless something drastically gives or we recruit difference makers in the winter window.

Manu dropping points is good

Fulham draw stops some of their excellent momentum while screwing arteta  so win win

Spurs result again stops them building a gap

Brighton results stops their momentum (we want to slow their momentum and drag them back into the middle bunch with us).

Palace well being negative stops them climbing towards us points wise.

I think my sentiment is more thank fuck everyone beating everyone in that middle pack as we already have a hill to climb to make up a few points.

Rushing the center half's back to early was a sign of desperation from a manager under pressure

It’s not the managers. It’s him. They don’t invest enough in wages for the playing squad.

This squad isn’t good enough to play Ange ball. I’m an Ange sceptic and he’s probably going to get fired. But Spurs love to penny pinch somewhere.

I said Chelsea were not it and a Palmer injury away from being average.  But it’s not true. Going forward they are good and have great depth.

Not convincing defensively though.

First half they were, other than the Sancho goal, pretty bad in the final 3rd. Cranked it up after the break with Palmer as the catalyst, as you'd expect.

Defensively Chelsea are shaky against teams with quality up top and can be got at as Spurs did. Weird season so far, but pretty entertaining all around.
