jack j Posted Sunday at 22:02 Share Posted Sunday at 22:02 Seems these set piece coaches are getting on everybody's tits now. Didn't last long the obsession with them.

Village Idiot Posted Monday at 08:20 Share Posted Monday at 08:20 (edited) Man, this is the least pumped I've felt after hammering a side 7-1. I always have had a soft spot for Valencia - I have many friends down there that are die hard fans, and they are a historic La Liga side with a track record of being hard to break down and competitive. Mestalla always give us or Madrid a very hard time when going there. But now they are such a broken toy. And there doesn't seem to be much hope in the future - I guess if they get relegated Peter Lim will sell and then they can rebuild. Deuce Posted Monday at 12:31 Share Posted Monday at 12:31 Catching up on highlights. Have Spurs always played ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ on a kazoo?
joeyt Posted Monday at 21:09 Share Posted Monday at 21:09 Been some honking games this past weekend. This Burnley-Leeds game has been aaaful
54 Posted Monday at 21:24 Share Posted Monday at 21:24 I wonder how much Burnley are enjoying this season, they pick up results but every games seems so cagey and mind numbingly boring, this will be their 9th 0-0 of the season in 29 games, and of the other 20, 13 of them have had two goals or under. Ben Posted Monday at 21:26 Share Posted Monday at 21:26 If I was either of these teams I would just refuse promotion, no attacking threat and can't put more than 4 or 5 passes together without giving the ball away
Karjala Posted Monday at 21:27 Share Posted Monday at 21:27 Is this the worst level the championship has been ever? Terrible.
nemtizz Posted Monday at 21:28 Share Posted Monday at 21:28 Rodon keeps winning those somehow.

I’m sure it was quite exciting at times when we were down there and we were given a run for our money in a lot of games. This season it seems like a load of teams that would usually be in and around the play-offs. With no standouts to really push clear and assert themselves as the best. Every time I catch a game it’s proper dirge and awful quality. Maybe the gap is just getting bigger every year and it’s becoming more noticeable. Fuck knows. Wallsendmag Posted Monday at 21:37 Share Posted Monday at 21:37 The best and 3rd best team in the Championship serving up this dross. It's absolutely brutal. Honestly see a higher standard of football down at the local park on a Sunday morning. I'd be amazed if the 3 teams that come up this season amass 40 points between the lot of them next season. TheInfiniteOdyssey Posted Monday at 21:44 Share Posted Monday at 21:44 Don’t intend to be reductive, but there’s some instances in this Burnley match where it’s honestly Sunday league standard.

Fak Posted Tuesday at 19:15 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:15 What’s the best CL game tomorrow night then? Man City obviously need to win and I expect they’ll do so comfortably at home to Brugge so will probably swerve that. What about Barcelona vs. Atalanta? Barca could finish top, Atalanta could finish as high as 3rd. Not sure if that has any bearings at all on the seedings (if there are any) for them for the knockout rounds? Ginola Posted Tuesday at 19:24 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:24 Probably Barca Atalanta or Feyenoord Lille for me. The latter both still have a chance of making the top 8 so could be an interesting game
Lush Vlad Posted Tuesday at 19:34 Share Posted Tuesday at 19:34 Tempted to back Atalanta at 100/30.
Ben Posted Tuesday at 20:00 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:00 This Portsmouth Millwagame is a replay because of floodlight failure, it might be my telly but I reckon they could do with a few more 100watt bulbs

Pretty sure that it doesn’t matter where you finish in the top eight.
Paully Posted yesterday at 05:14 Share Posted yesterday at 05:14 Google isn’t helpful for the knockout stage process! I assume 9th play 24th with the 1st leg at 24th ground? 10th vs 23rd and so on?

Ginola
If I'm understanding it all correctly it's seeded in pairs. 1 & 2 would get teams finished 15, 16, 17 or 18. There would be a draw to see whether 15 gets 17 or 18 in the playoff, 16 gets the other. There's then another draw to see which team 1 gets of those 2 winners. Teams 3 & 4 get a selection of 13, 14, 19 and 20 decided in the same way and so on So in theory you could finish 8th and get the team in 24th, an easier draw than 1st and getting drawn again 15th (currently Bayern) Fair chance I've completely misunderstood how it all works, mind
