Salah's only involved was taking the pens

This isn’t even a criticism of him. As his stats are still insane. But he is often like this when I watch him.

He didn’t really do much against us for the whole game in general play at SJP. Yet he got 2 goals, an assist and didn’t he hit the bar, too?! He was anonymous for the first 50 minutes.

He looked dreadful against PSG and all.  But when it matters, he delivers. I guess numbers wise, he’s probably the best in the world?

He plays a different game now he's getting on. Uses his experience to be in the right place at the right time, brilliant footballer. Was shit against PSG though but then they were all getting spanked. And if not for some goal keeping heroics they would have been shown up for what they are, a good but not great Liverpool team.

I never find Brighton convincing, mind. 6 wins in a row. But they rarely look in control of games like they used to.

I don’t think anyone from 3rd to 10th can be particularly trusted to turn up most weeks. Definitely including ourselves in that.

Forest always find a way, TBF. But again, rarely look convincing.

Which makes the points on the board already crucial.

If any club in that bracket can put 6 wins in a row together from here - has a great chance of CL or close. Brighton looked out of it but their run has them right back in the mix.

People keep saying ‘Liverpool are not that great’. IMO they’ve been doing what Real have been great at for some time. Finding a way. Players stepping up in big moments.  It’s less of a system and more of an old school football team. Do what’s required for the scenario.

Helps if you get more penalties in half an hour than we’ve been awarded all season.

They don't half get the decisions though which always gives them the edge. Today Nunez could/should have been sent off, Smallbone hit the ground not Nunez so was never a pen.
