I know it seems wrong and bitter to feel this way after all the enjoyment we just had of winning something finally. But I really don't want Villa winning the fa cup.

They really feel like our closest rivals now and seem to have been linked to us. Getting Emery after we tried to get him, getting Adidas deal straight after we did, getting champions league the season after we did, having an easier format to progress and get more money. Having a far better and stronger PSR starting point than we did post takeover. Getting large fees for their players etc etc.

Ideally we really need to finish ahead of them and Chelsea and ensure we get that last champions league place if we want to compete properly next year.

Crystal Palace Vs Aston Villa

Notts Forest Vs Man City/ Bournemouth

Big chance for Villa to win the FA Cup.

It would be class if us and Villa, the two teams aiming to disturb the big 6, win the two cup competitions in the same year.

It's quite conflicting. The neutral in me wants someone new to win it but the Newcastle fan in me wants no one to win it. Man City basically = no one, so they're the default preference. Villa Forest would be a much more interesting final though.

I definitely want Man City to win it now. If we hadn’t won the cup I probably wouldn’t care either way. I just want to be the main story of the season.

Sorry I just can’t get why people want to see City win stuff [emoji38]

It’s so boring and we’ve already had our big win. Surely football goes beyond just what is supposedly good for us (and I’m not sure it makes a difference anyway). You look at how impressive those scenes were yesterday and so many fans of other clubs have been genuinely happy for us and enjoyed seeing teams win stuff fir the first time in many years, fans going crazy etc.

Yeah you won’t see any of that with City. Just the same old.

More than happy for them to enjoy it. No need for it to be just us threatening the so called big 6 - good for the game in general. I’m sure fans of those teams were often happy for us and didn’t just want Liverpool to win.
