I'd snap arms off at the shoulder for 5th right now Exactly. Villa are a threat when we are talking about 5th place. Forest are a threat if we are chasing 3rd or 4th place, but I don't care too much about that right now. Atleast that's how I see it, as I don't think they'll start losing to a bunch of teams with nothing to play for. Stifler Posted Saturday at 18:09 Share Posted Saturday at 18:09 A draw for me. It gives us an opportunity to create a gap between us and Villa who are fighting on all fronts still. It also gives us an opportunity to take advantage to any end of season drop off from Forest. It’s looking like a Villa win though.
LionOfGosforth Posted Saturday at 18:09 Share Posted Saturday at 18:09 Amazing there's only 3 goals in this, should be about 3-

Kid Icarus Posted Saturday at 18:12 Share Posted Saturday at 18:12 This is Villa all over as well mind. Feel like I've seen this match with them about 10 times over the last few years. The opposition fluffing chances and them somehow getting a result.

They seem to believe finishing above us is some incredible achievement due to our Saudi billions, despite them being the one with the bigger budget. They had a Jhon Duran to sell for silly money to fund their January spree. If we were to sell someone similar to fund a squad build, it would have to a first team player effectively trading first team quality for squad quality. It might be a good idea, might not. I'll trust the decision makers to do what's best for us.

They have twice the depth that we had last season. In attack they've got Ramsey, Rogers, Bailey, Rashford, Asensio, Malen and Watkins. The rest is pretty strong aswell. Their next game is a free win, and the last 4 are all pretty winnable. Again, I doubt catching Forest would be the difference maker for top 5 anyways. They won't go on a losing streak to lower table teams. Edited Saturday at 18:17 by Erikse

Seems like we have net spent quite abit more the last 5 years according to transfermarkt. They sold Diaby, Luiz and Duran for nearly €200m this season. I'm just very conscious of the fact we still need to go to Villa Park. Lost that one, and it's a distinct possibility considering how good they are, and it's 3 (theoretical) points wiped out in 90 mins. Still fancy us to do it but couldn't give a single shit whether it's 3rd, 4th or 5th. Makes literally no difference to me
