ramirez Posted Friday at 16:20 Share Posted Friday at 16:20 We are guaranteed a closer ’local’ Derby than Manchester next season anyway. It’s weird Watford and Norwich not being near play offs and West Brom likely missing out too.

One of the first games I ever went to was Leeds v Coventry (Dad was a Leeds fan, supported them until I was 6, long story) and always remember everyone chanting "What's the score Big Fat Ron", one of my earliest memories that. Odd reason but yeah, fully behind them, helps that it'd make the Mackems fume Means they'll be able to afford Wilson, too.
54 Posted Friday at 16:30 Share Posted Friday at 16:30 Bristol City fans must be delirious this season, for the last 9 seasons they've never finished lower than 19th and higher than 8th, never in any threat of relegation, and not good enough to get a play-off place. Its a great story there too, with what happened to Ian Manning earlier on in the season. I'd say i'd want them to get promoted if it wasn't for their absolute horrendous camera angle. Plymouth is probably the next largest. The south-west corner of England (Cornwall, Devon, west Dorset and Somerset) has been entirely unrepresented in PL history. I believe only Bristol City played in the old First Division (9 seasons) from that geographical area.

ramirez Posted Friday at 19:01 Share Posted Friday at 19:01 Swindon usually considered West Country and got promoted along with us in 93, although it’s Wiltshire but close enough.

All the teams promoted will stink out PL unless they can spend £75 million on improving squads. The gap is massive between the 2 leagues atm as seen by the teams going up last season. Cornwall has never had a club in the top 5 divisions of English football, it's one reason as to why what Truro are doing this season could be historic. 54 Posted Friday at 21:13 Share Posted Friday at 21:13 That Burnley Vs Sheffield United match on Monday is going to be a must watch, not in terms of play style, they're both utterly drab, and it'll be an awful game, but in terms of what's at stake, a Burnley win and the Automatic promotion race is done, especially if Leeds win earlier on in the day. Didn’t seem keen at all in the Amazon doc. Says a lot he’s played at two clubs probably the furthest away from Cov too🤣. I used to live there. I can’t help but think that we are probably going to have 10-15 years of Burnley going up and down.

Yorkie
Yeah I think there's some trivia crossed wires there. I'm sure the thing about Wakefield is that it's the biggest city not to have a professional football team, or something.
