Even in the UCL.  The english team werr knocked out by the same team in the luck of the draw that put them on same side of the bracket.

 

I personally think the extra 5 spot is all good when you have a strong league like the prem, but it took away 2 good teams from the bundesliga and serie A who could have done much better in europa and replaced dortmond with a team now fighting relegation.

The Europa League is such a bag of poo. One of two relegation fighting teams (or would be if the bottom 3 weren't completely hopeless) winning the trophy and qualifying for the Champions League. Burn it.

Almost makes it look like its bloody setup for if theres ever a time one of the six have a really off season, oh and look theres two of them in the final.

 

Anyone know who the team is thats finishest lowest in their league and won the Europa league in the same season? Surely this would beat it. Absolute joke.

Bilbao couldn't score against 10 man Rangers. The teams are awful in the Europa. They may be good in their own league but they don't have the depth to properly compete in europa seriously.

Tbf they had loads of Injuries and unlike man united have been having to fight Top 4 in la liga while going in europa last season. If you dont have the depth for it then this is what ends up happening.

To clear this up. I remember being gutted that you'd fluked that cup final against a hungover City and stolen our rightful Europa place.

 

However, now that it has been generally agreed as being a FARCE of a competition, it seems you actually did us a favour, because we wouldn't have wanted to be in it after all.

 

Watched the end of your game and Amorim seemed genuinely chuffed walking down the steps. Nor has he come across badly to me in Interviews overall.

 

Which is annoying, since we're all waiting for him to whip off his lizard mask and eat a mouse, like in V.

 

But in seriousness, what do you reckon to Spurs in the final and your chances?
