Thank god they only got 2 points from their last 18, where most of them were 'winnable'. They are definitely too far adrift of us, with us having gained 13 more points than them in that period.

Bournemouth win is better for us right? Keeps the 8 points gap to 8th, and a decent sized gap between 7th and 8th.

Neither will overtake us, so I doesn't really matter.

Both of them have really tough games and no realistic chance to catch us.

Yeah just worked this out, if this result sticks, and we win against Palace, all we need is 7 points from 6 games to be guaranteed top 7.

Yeah, but we should be finishing above both of them from this position regardless.

I'd like to see Bournemouth get in the Europa Conference League. Best team we've faced this season by a mile and they'd have a good chance of winning it which for a club that size would be immense.

I don't want to sound patronising, as that's not the intention, but Bournemouth is the exact level of team from the "Big 5" Leagues that the Conference League was made for, teams like them, Heidenheim, Vitoria de Guimaraes, and Betis. Somewhat smaller clubs that maybe didn't have a chance of getting into Europe before hand, given the chance to go on a European adventure for having a half decent season.

But because Chelsea where shit, and ended up in it, it gets derided.

That's why I wasn't arsed about Olympiakos winning it. If a team like Rangers can get in the Europa League final two times in 15 or so years then the biggest team in Greece should be doing better in either the Europa or CL.
