Aye, there was definitely Geordie links being used as part of the story when I read it back then, mostly through the Chronicle, mind. Another name that just crossed my mind that I think we were linked with at the time but again, could just be me making it up was Jean Pierre-Papin. Tried to find links to it but couldn't so could just be dreaming it up. My memory doesn't recall us being linked with Ginola but then, it happened. I'm sure not getting any younger these days.
