Arsenal, City, Man U, Villa, Liverpool in the CL

Mackems, Bournemouth and Palace in the EL

Brighton in the conference league

Is that right?

English teams at the buffet cart that is Europe, piling their plates high. Irritates me that the European competitions are so watered down, they used to have a real prestige to them.

With all the teams in Europe next season, and all the games it brings, my expectations for the league (for us) are super high.

I'm looking forward to it, with the caveat that we're somewhere close to back to our best. A good chunk of games against teams that will have played a few days before and potentially long journeys, the likelihood of a few Friday/Monday night games under the lights against some of the shite, and a few old fashioned Saturday 3pm games should make for a decent mix. I won't even mind the Sunday 2pms if we're playing a team hanging out the back of their arse. Although on that front, we could, ironically, probably do with keeping the intensity next season!

Republic of Ireland play a friendly against Qatar on Amazon Prime PPV tonight, apparently.

They must be raking it in.

This could be a problem for us tbh. We should definitely be finishing ahead of Brighton, Bournemouth & Sunderland with their squads & schedule, but these two have larger budgets than us and the same schedule. Going to have to be at it every week to reach top 5 or even 6-7.

We are the most efficient club – cogito ergo sum – we'll be fine

Just seen the kick off time for the CL final is 5pm...

How come it's so early this year?

Via UEFA.com

What time does the 2026 CL final kick off?

The 2026 CL final kicks off at 18.00 CET. This is earlier than in previous years, designed to enhance the overall matchday experience for fans, teams and host cities by optimising matchday logistics and operations.

I hope that cleared things up for you... 😄

It's in case Arsenal go one up early,  the time wasting, holding,  play acting and general cuntishness could make it a long night

Absolutely love Luis Enrique and what hes created at PSG. His team are an absolute breath of fresh air amongst the shower of shit that other teams serve up in football today.

3-0 please.

Ideally after about 20 minutes, then Arsenal have to play out the rest of the game being absolutely tortured and trying desperately to get a corner
