Arsenals defence is crazy strong. Lots of teams defend leads with numbers behind the ball. Arsenal are actually very good at it.  Even at 1-1 Arsenal kept PSG very quiet.

Yeah but the flip side is they offered absolutely nothing in an attacking sense to do so. They ended up coming out of the final looking like a bunch of losers. 1 shot on target, lowest amount of possession in a CL final.

They played like they are massive underdogs, embarrassing stuff iyam.

Facebook is a fucking dream come true atm. All the Arsenal fans crying about "Oil money". Are they aware of what their stadium is called and that Rwanda sends aid money they receive from other countries to Arsenal?

They were underdogs. Theres a significant gap between both clubs resources and experience at this level.

You’re being biased.

At no point did PSG look like they would win the game in normal time. For all their possession At various points in the game PSG looked devoid of ideas.  Barcola aside I can’t think of any chances they created.

I do think Arsenal should’ve pushed more for a second goal - especially in the first half. PSG didn’t have anything for them and Arsenal didn’t capitalise enough on it.

Let’s not cope. Embarrassing is losing 7-2, looking up at the clock at 70 minutes and praying you don’t concede 10.

I dont think Arsenal are inevitable in the CL.  But they’ve gone QF, SF, F in consecutive seasons.  It’s a team in prime age. They’ll be challengers for the next 2-3 years for all the big trophies.

Wasn't Arteta absolutely fizzing with us a few years back when we did some dark arts at their place? [emoji38]

I'm presuming Arsenal's team cost more and has similar-ish wages to PSG? Pretty embarrassing imo that they had 1 shot on target considering the investment + their supposedly elite coach.

Yep. I’ve referenced the 0-0 on here a few times. Worst aggro I’ve got coming out an away end for a long time. Then Arteta carried on the whining. Had people at work and mates complaining about it the next day, even.

They’ll all trip over themselves to defend this shite they’re serving up now. Along with all the blatant shithousing/cheating.

My English mate has lived in France for about 5 years now and he says it really winds him up how a PSG win in Europe is a "win for all French sport"

A huge red flag for me is anyone in this country saying "they want all English teams to do well in Europe"

Arsenal are a good cup side because they are difficult to beat, and they can score from set pieces. But they had a relatively easier ride in the KO stages this time round, I think this was their best chance to win it.

PSG were very cagey with it being the final, but in a quarter or semi, I think they would have been far more adventurous.

Remember all that furore about how you're only allowed one person stood in the technical area and it was done to stop Howe and Tindall collaborating?

I really hope they clamp down on managers and staff staying in the technical area. Watching that block headed cunt skip up and down the touchline like a fucking third linesman was infuriating.

One day soon I hope an opposition winger kicks the ball down the line and deliberately just goes flying into him when he's stood right on the touchline in the way.

I know its L'Equipe but they gave him a 3/10

He was probably a solid 9 out of 10 before the penalty. Barely put a foot wrong. Dont think kvara went passed him once.

The fourth was shown telling him to move back and watch it a good few times aswell, how many warnings are you allowed? Ridiculous. The prick should have already been booked before he was for kicking off about the Madueke pen shout and then sent off for his carry on for that.

They had an easy ride in the KOs because they finished 1st in the league stage.  It does require a bit of luck but they earned the easier path.

Next stage for Arsenal is to be more ruthless on the counter. Need a high quality attacker or 2.  Particularly off the bench.

Its because hairs are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight

Kvara was poor yesterday. Mendes did Mosquera in the first half. Mosquera was decent but not worth the hype he was getting from TNTs brown nosers

Guess they are saying he cost Arsenal the game?

Winning that penalty is all Kvara did in the game. Mosquera kept him quiet.

Havertz and Madueke aside - I thought all Arsenal attackers had poor games. It’s tough when you have to do so much defending mind. But Gyokeres and Martinelli in particular ruined promising situations. Odegaard was particularly bad too. Saka had that one dangerous cross.

Kvara was brilliant against Bayern, but then both teams were going at it, and the game was end to end.

Arsenal just sat in their own half and that meant the game was a lot slower.

That said, PSG were poor overall. You often get this in the final of a cup competition where teams play very cagey football because they are wary of making mistakes.

It doesn't matter if winning that penalty was all Kvara did  it was still quite an important thing to do. Also doesn't matter if Mosquera kept him quiet to that point. He still give away a stupid penalty and that's all he'll be remembered for in the game. It as though your trying to bypass the more important point of the game.

Not sure. I just looked at their match ratings not their match report. They probably looked at it as:

1. Got skinned by Mendes first half

2. Got booked

3. Gave away a penalty

4. Could have got a second yellow for giving away the penalty

5. Got hooked by Arteta

How? That moment was huge and helped get PSG level.  All credit for that. Outside of that he had that 1 shot at goal, didn’t create a single chance for a team mate.  He was well marshalled by Arsenal overall. Think Gabriel and Pacho were the best players on the pitch. PSG midfield and attack had zero penetration and Arsenal barely played a pass.

Arsenal defended well overall - I don’t recall a single save from open play the entire game from either GK.  Doue had one late on maybe. Typical Arsenal shit game.

He did get skinned by Mendes. Surely gets credit for not getting skinned by Kvara mind.

I just don’t think he was bad. Maybe TNT were going overboard because he largely kept Kvara quiet and some regard Kvara as the best player in the world.
