Just read Everton are not going to demolish Goodison and instead giving it to their women's team. Not sure how to feel about that for their fans.

Supposedly saying their emotional goodbyes to the ground on Sunday but hey, just in case you miss it, you can always come back and watch a game, only that it would be the women's game though.

How long until another Aluko starts piping up to say the lads get a big, shiny, brand new stadium to play in while the women only get a broken, 100 year old ground? That is, if they properly maintain it too.

I mean, it's good to see the ground will be preserved and still be in use but rarely you get these situations where you get a new ground and the old one still functions as one as well.

100% it'll be a PSR stunt when they then sell their womens team AND ground to themselves when they need the funds

Utter Woke Nonsense.

Football is a meritocracy, if one team romps to the title every season with ease, too bad!

You can't just change the rules cause you're bored of the same team winning all the time, what are they gonna do when PSG start winning the 'Final Four' all the time?

Is this not just the same as the new Champions League format whereby the Super League teams get an extra chance to win if they have a bad campaign

What's the average attendance of Everton Women's? The place will be deserted. It'll be like Queens Park playing at Hampden, Darlo playing in that giant arena they built or the mackems playing at home when the MLF are all on backshifts at Nissan

I think they get less than 1k most home games!

Very very strange, definitely something going on!

It’s a dead league. Really they need the ESL to happen and for PSG to fuck off. Germany and Spain need similar. This continent is full of dead leagues, I sometimes wonder how they maintain interest.

Pl has had 2 winners over the last what, 7 years? 5 to City the other 2 to Liverpool.  The times Liverpool have won it, there wasn’t even a title race.  Every close title race ends with Cty winning, if there is a close title race.

Only Serie A has different winners. Atleast La Liga bounces between 2 clubs regularly.  Madrid never defend a La Liga. Been a while since Barca defended it. And Atletico have won it twice.

Financial rules have killed European leagues.

I thought it was pretty obvious from the moment it happened he should have been subbed off. Especially as they were chasing a goal and even if he was fine it was going to take him a good few minutes atleast to shake off the impact.

But with hindsight it's even more damning of the medical staff to have allowed him to carry on.

I wouldn’t defend the premier league either, it’s rancid. Barca and Madrid could win 45 out of the next 50 titles and no one would be surprised, I think if I was Spanish I would’ve turned off by now.

Pretty much every league has only 2-4 teams with a realistic chance of winning the league. Some countries have just one team who win everything all the time bar the odd freak season, PSG, Bayern, Celtic spring to mind.

We as Newcastle fans have spent enough time in the doldrums to understand that there's more to football and following your team than who wins the league at the end of the season.

It was Barcelona and Real Madrid walloping teams and having head-to-heads to decide things back in the 80s nevermind 7years and its still the same now with no end in sight and all that time everyone knew that was going to be the case. Atletico break it up now and then (allowing for the two freak Valencia, Deportivo seasons).

(Real Madrid and Barcelona won the title a bunch of times in a row. Unless you mean La Liga as opposed to the Primiera Division which I guess it was called back then.)

Its not been like that in England. If it was I doubt the PL would be what it is.

To be fair diagnosing internal trauma pitch side when the player says he's fine and he just appears winded is not anyone's fault.

Dude was probably high on adrenaline and felt fine. Hopefully he recovers. He's in ITU, so whatever it is would be fatal. Just seen it's post surgery - this is normal procedure.

Ruptured spleen causes massive internal bleeding. Ruptured intestine can lead to massive bleeding and nasty infections.
