Villa are in good form and have squad depth but they have CL (which they may soon be out of) and FA Cup semi finals and have had a long season. Forest have started to falter recently and have never been in this position, they've been over performing in relation to their stats all season - so make of that what you will. Man City are still quite inconsistent by their standards, but have had a much better second half of the season Having said that, all four are more than capable of putting together a string of results and a sustained push for CL. We have to beat whats in front of us essentially. Only thing in Villa’s favour is that with Malen, Asensio and Rashford all landing in January they’ve really given themselves rotation options up front to manage that fatigue. PRL
So many teams around us play each other or Bournemouth / Fulham. We will drop points but so will everyone else. Probably more than expected if recent weeks are anything to go by and with so many involved in other cup competitions.
Nucasol
Gut feel is 8 points from Chelsea, Ipswich, Villa and Palace will be enough to get us over the line. Means we only need 2 or 3 points from the other 3 games.

This is as a guaranteed 3 points as there is in the league* *assuming Ange is still there I think Chelsea will miss out entirely (or finish 7th). They are the worst team of the 7. I think they'll get a maximum of 4 points before we play them.

Hotel gone, Carpark gone, Women's team gone. The EPLS very own Barca. Never underestimate Chelsea's ability to worm their way out of a financial hole. They'll organise a pre-season tournament against the LA Dodgers catering staff, Strasbourg U-14 girls and Todd Boehley accountants, the winner of the tournament gets a $300 million cash injection. On the pitch however, they look the most likely to drop off, I'm not particularly concerned about them, their one star player is off form, their squad has no cohesion and the fans are on the managers back again. Forest are starting to burn out Villa & City will probably be fine but we don't need to worry about them too much, I think we'll pretty much match them stride in the run in. Basically, we'll be reet

The next 4 league games, I need them to drop points. They'll win the last 2 games of the season. I have said for some time that if we get to 68 points, it doesn't matter what the others do. If it's 66ish, then we need to look at the others. The next two are super tough. Three points is fine and keeps us on track, four would be great, and six is amazing. Current top 7 not gonna change, only the order. Not out of the realm of possibilities that one of them could catch either Villa or Chelsea if they collapse. But certainly not going to catch us. Hanshithispantz
If Villa get top 5 then they'll have had to have went on an insane run with an FA Cup semi in there too, their next 4 games are against teams still fighting for Europe. Feel like we just need Chelsea to stay shite and it's in the bag. Edited April 15 by Hanshithispantz

LFEE
4 points from Chelsea and Villa games. Do that and we are in with a shout. Squad still too small to be any more confident at this stage. Admittedly I never ever count my chickens before they hatch.

Dr.Spaceman
I think Chelsea and Villa's fixtures are too radge if we win tomorrow. Ideally we want both of them to progress in Europe to distract them.

It all depends on injuries, we have been very lucky so far the last couple of months. Let’s just hope it continues. Dont think the players will have to many problems coping with the remaining schedule. Other than this week the rest of the games I just 1 game per week. We are second in that time. Palace are 6th. Chelsea are 10th. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/formtabelle/wettbewerb/GB1?saison_id=2024&min=15&max=32 Palace style wise are tougher for us. Chelsea will play out from the back, try to dominate possession - we can get on top of them and kill them on transitions, turnovers, counter attacks etc. Chelsea game could be an eliminator for them, crowd and players will be up for it. It has 6-2 Spurs potential almost. Or 3-0 Brighton. palace will give us the ball and look to do that to us which we can sometimes struggle with. NSG
Think I’m right in saying that Chelsea will likely be playing away the Thursday before our game, most likely in Vienna. Not a massive amount of travelling, but not getting back until the early hours of Friday morning then having to travel up here on the Saturday for a Sunday lunchtime game will hopefully favour us. If we win our four home games and avoid defeat to Villa, that's 69. Villa would need to win all of their remaining games, including at Man City, to get to 70. Chelsea aren't getting to 70. They'd need to win their other five games (excluding the game against us) to reach 70, and they've got Liverpool at home yet and Forest away last day. I suspect they may even drop points this weekend at Fulham who will respond to last night. Big ask, but a win tomorrow and a draw on Saturday (or the other way round) and the odds are hugely stacked in our favour.

Villa will have to beat us then win 5 out of 6. That would be something like 10 wins from 11 in total. Any less and we’ll probably be ahead on GD. They’ve got something like 5 games in 17 days too.
