Wandy Posted May 12, 2023 Share Posted May 12, 2023 Not gonna lie, I've not really been fussed about actually being in the Champs League next season, it was just finishing in the top 4 to spite the other lot that has been so appealing to me this season. But watching the Man City v Real Madrid match this week really got me thinking how great it would be seeing us at the likes of the Bernabeu again. I was lucky enough to go to a fair few of the games in both the previous stints and it’s pretty amazing to watch Newcastle play the very best teams from Europe. Nine Posted May 13, 2023 Share Posted May 13, 2023 (edited) Everyone looks gassed by half time at the moment, truthfully we’ve been looking leggy for the last 3 games or so. We get these brief moments of momentum after we score when everyone’s fired up but it dies out again quickly. We are running out of steam, a thin squad combined with our style of play was always going to result in this situation at some point. Having said that, today was a big potential banana skin and a point isn’t terrible. We are probably going to need 2 wins out of the last 3 games to seal it, it’s going to go very close if Liverpool don’t slip up.
