Palace are about to enter an intensive weekend/midweek run of games right up to their semi final, they will be using their squad which will advantage us

I’d forgotten about the FA cup👍Palace will be a really tough match though.

If we win tomorrow. I’m actually pretty sweet on our chances of CL.

Some tough games left, for sure. But plenty around us are stuttering a bit, we play the likes of Brighton and Villa who based on recent performances. We shouldn’t be maybe quite so scared about as a few weeks ago. Also Chelsea at SJP and they are nowhere near as good on the road. Despite results, they’re hardly playing well at home, either.

Going to get incredibly tight, mind. Now looks like Forest are going to get dragged back into it. So them, City, Villa,  Chelsea, NUFC and maybe one other from 8th-10th all vying for 3 positions.

Looking at Forests fixtures they “should” be ok but if Wood is out for a period and they start stuttering all fixtures become tricky. I’m pretty confident of beating Chelsea at home because the crowd will be mental and radge if a win gets us top four or 5.

Still feels to me like this initial block of games going it other Villa game are key. They could really cement CL qualification.

Its been a weird season

Cup win and scouse fan/club reaction has essentially vanquished the demons of my Liverpool hatred. For now at least.

Villa have been feeling similar teething pains to us, after treading the same CL path and squad/PSR restrictions we did.

I'm unlikely to ever drop my Lee Dixon inspired Arsenal hatred but Manure aside I've lost a ton of my anger to clubs. Palace don't bother me, they are below us.

My hatred for Bournemouth has gotten stronger because they turn into Real Madrid everytime we play them.

We get 10 out of the next four games including Leicester game tomorrow,  I think we are in with a chance of CL, still remote but possibilities are there, depends totally on other clubs results obviously, but are the guys upto it, will be the big question.

It's literally in your hands. That's not remote.

If you want to shoot me,please make it a clean head shot but maybe qualifying for the conference league is the best thing for us. Going by this year's teams we'd probably be favourites to win it. A nice European trophy the year after winning the League cup, then we can think about the Champions League. We could really struggle in next seasons Champions League with our lightweight squad. Wheras we'd waltz into the deeper stages of the Conference League as long as Howe takes it seriously.

Fuck it, let's go for 3rd.

If someone had told us in August we'd have won a cup and have two games in hand to go within a point of 3rd, we'd have snapped their hands off.

Nah, qualifying for CL is always best for us, financially as well as it being what our players want

However it's not something I'm demanding as although we are well placed for it there is a fair bit of competition

For me I do want Europa League as a minimum

We signed Tonali because we made the CL two seasons ago. Would we have won the league cup without him? Debatable.

Whilst you’re right in that in the short-term, the ECL offers the quickest route to another trophy, it doesn’t boost our long term prospects for continually winning trophies the way CL does.

Feels like CL is in reach, but we are reliant on Isak being fit for the run in. If he misses any games, I don't fancy us much with Wilson up top.

Think I'd fancy us more with Barnes & Gordon alternating between LW & CF.

Don't fancy that much either tbh. We need to wrap Isak in cotton wool basically.
