We look every bit a top 4 side right now. Able to rip through teams when we feel like it. Yes, we weren't perfect tonight, but we've got so much quality and above all, an outstanding coach. We've got this.

?This post has nailed it.

Friendly reminder that was our 55th game of the season and our starting centre backs are injured.

You are certainly worth top four mind.

So many injury woes. If only you had the money to buy a fully functioning squad. :'(

Nope 4 wins because of Brighton.

Assuming they win all their next 8 games. Isn’t it 11 points from next 6 games because our goal difference is better than the chasing pack.

11 points assuming Brighton slip up/we take points off them.

Interesting to see what the preseason narrative is over who the top teams will be for 2023/24.

Ours will be so predictable.

“Newcastle behind Premier League Manager of the Year Eddie Howe and Saudi billions stormed to third place a year ago. Can they maintain their league form with the burden of Champions League football? The additions of X, Y, and Z will help, but a top four finish will be a tough ask.”

Everyone and their mother will be picking Liverpool and Chelsea to rebound and beat us and we’ll just need to prove everyone wrong again.

30 points away from home for us now. That has to be close to our record in a 20-team league?

Securing top four this season is more important than just champions league next season, with it we can argue a larger related party sponsorship deal on par with the historic elite teams. That boosts our budget to comply with FFP meaning we can go for truly elite players. Getting those players cements us in the top four for the future given how wisely we’ve purchased and the general success of our signings.

Quick scan, we got 26 in 95/96 & 96/97, 32 in 01/02. We'll beat that.

When I was working out the 7th-ometer to reach 60 points I think I based it on 35 home points and 25 away. Just so consistent.

1/33 for a top 4 finish with betfair for the bookies watchers amongst us

Saw that at a couple of bookies like PP etc. but think it must have been a palpable error.

Generally 1/14 or 1/16 which is still short enough, but Liverpool best price 5/1, not the 9/1 they were at the time.
