I've been saying forever that these clubs hate competition. They also lack a sense of irony given a lot of them became established when no such rules existed. And the way forest got done was total bullshit on top of that. The rules penalised them being promoted as the allowable loss is much less in the championship. Forest are a good example of how it might pay to break the rules and take the punishment rather than accept the shackles imposed by the cartel led authorities. Don't understand this tbh, I never watch the CL because it's boring as fuck. The EL and Conference League always entertain. That said, I'd much prefer NUFC in the CL, of course It'd be different if we were in it, but all matches not involving us would be just as boring as they always have been.
