Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Newcastle United (07/01/2023)

Only person on the pitch with prem league class has been big jow.

Botman has stopped passing the ball to lewis cos he is a liability.

elliot anderson needs to tighten up his passing also, dodgy ball to dubs and has been caught in possession too many times.

Isak looks rusty but still classy

Listening to Shearer harping on about Isaks chances, they were good chances, the header he leaned over it making it harder to get power, the shot good but tough angle, he's had more chances on target than Chris Wood has in several appearances, and Isaks had 45 and been out a good while.

Just doesn’t excel at a single thing

He’s absolutely rancid. Offers nothing at all going forward, which is not great when you claim you are a winger. [emoji38]

Should've scored at least once with the opportunities and garbage decision making moments we've had.

Too many plodders from the old regime(s) who are simply not good enough hampering us. Can't wait until that's no longer the case.

What were the other wastes of money?

Grant Hanley

Squad player; appeared a few times then left at the end of the season for more or less the same price. Next?

Muto was a favourite of mine.

Probably a fair one, but when you're shopping in the bargain bin...

Anyone else?

Grant Hanley

Eh? Hanley was sound for us. Sels, Gamez, Murphy, Lazaar, Muto (prob not a Rafa signing though) are the poor Rafa signings imo.

He got a lot more right than wrong though.

Not a bad half, really. Set pieces have looked dangerous with good delivery. Their only chances have really come from our fuck ups. A few of the players are growing into the game and we have had control of the half.

Anderson was sloppy at the start. Lewis always plays like he’s scared, but has been ok. Murphy has been AIDS.

Other than that. Most of them have been fine and considering we’ve made 8 changes. It has been solid enough.

Manquillo has been mustard, I think.
