Anthony Gordon (now playing for FC Barcelona)

Recommended Posts

I'm fine with this and don't see why he deserves any stick for it tbh.

He has pissed me off through the season as I said months ago he didn't look interested, but the same could be said for quid a few.  Won't be the worst thing if we manage to get 70m for him.

I actually think he'd do excellent there, at least for one season. How he performs beyond that depends on whether he then believes he's Lionel Messi as a result. Which is likely.

Having to replace our top scorer again isn't ideal, though obviously a lot of them have been penalties.

Still, can't really complain at getting a good fee and not selling to another PL team. A lot depends on how he's replaced, but it's best to be proactive with this one and get it done if he doesn't want to be here.

Can't see him going for that price unless he has a good world cup.

Think it's a fair price personally. He's a very effective player, still only 24 as well. We get to sell him at peak value instead of waiting until he becomes a depreciating asset, and I think he'll be a hit at Bayern.

If we sell to Bayern hopefully we're a bit savvy at building a good relationship with them, we know they'll almost certainly be back for Woltemade at some point so do whatever to ensure that's relatively hassle and drama free when it happens and try and get the nod on their young players who might not quite make it there etc, try and do a bit more than just take their money. Albeit that's the most important bit!

I'll sail him across in a Higgans' boat myself for £75mil. I don't fucking see it like.

This got me thinking. Everyone and their dogs grandma knew Olise was leaving Palace to Bayern, or more recently with Semenyo leaving Bournemouth. Both played with full effort and with visible gratitude for the fans of their respective clubs. Semenyo's exit was basically a fairytale, scoring in the 95th min to win 3-2.

We've got this self-servient Aurelius Meditations mentality-muppet having his entourage put out he wants away to Sky Sport while missing games because he's 'not quite right' and outgrown us.

You know when Bruno or Big Joe miss a game, they're in the stands aye? Guess he was too busy playing squash or lernen Deutsche. Make him play with the u23s rest of the season and ignore that first paragraph, I'll take €70m nevermind Sterling to see this wanker gone. Put pen to paper soon.

The fact he's our top scorer despite not being able to finish or beat a man is more the concern. Get him sold and someone with more ability on the ball in. He was very good for a bit and I gave him more time than he probably deserved to return to form, but he hasn't and he wont. If the hoped 75m+ can get us 2 first team players, or a first teamer and a back up or youth prospect, we should be better off.

He cost us a domestic cup double last season, was glossed over due the Carabao win but fuck me, that red card against Brighton was criminal.

He also battered Arsenal in the semi-final meaning we went on to win the cup.

£75m and a few add ons would be a great deal. Get the cunt down the autobahn

This is getting played on repeat when we sell Billy big bollocks for a hefty fee and replace him with a footballer who’s far better technically and cheaper

Better technically?

So Howe is definitely going then...

Be delighted if we get £70m off Bayern for him like.

Hard to see how they think he's worth it, presumably purely on his UCL goals.

They've got an option on Nicolas Jackson for £60m, he's not been anything special albeit has covered some decent minutes for them, so they're probably thinking send him back to Chelsea and pay a bit more for someone who can cover all four of their forward positions if needed
