Shearer just called him out. 'I don't believe he was injured in training on Friday.'

I dont get this. So Gordon is not playing for us again this season? If not why pick out this specific game.

Because it’s only in the last week or so that he’s told the club that he wants out and has let his agent leak the information to the press.

Doesnt make sense to "skip" this game only, if thats the case.

He’ll skip this game only in the same way Isak will skip Celtic only.

I said this bloke had a touch of Michael Owen about him a few weeks ago and immediately got shot down.

It’s  been obvious for ages he is playing for himself with one eye on England/his next move.

Keeping him and chosing to sell Minteh & Anderson is probably the biggest transfer mistake we've ever made. And we've Wissa on the books.

I’d love to see the alternative timeline and what would have happened had he gone and the other two stayed

LFC probably don’t even buy Isak then as they’d be fuming we had their trousers down over Gordon

I'll he honest I couldn't give a shit about what Shearer thinks. He lost all credibility with how he acted with Bruce for me.

I mean aye, true, Shearer is a bit of a bell at times even with bonafide legend status.

That said, I think it's fairly reasonable to say at best Gordy has his eyes and head elsewhere, and at worst is a cunt diva who seemingly fakes (or embellishes) injuries when the going gets tough, refuses to play right-wing, and may not honour his terms if he doesn't get his way in the summer much like his dearly departed rodent comrade.

Anthony Gordon being in the Anthony Gordon business SHOCK. He’s our best forward player imho but he’s also a rat. Could easily see him pulling an Isak this summer.

Am not sure about that. He has been one of the manager's favorites, IMO.

Maybe...but he doesn't give a flying fuck about the manager. He's gone in the summer, and we'll probably have to sell at a lower fee than we were expecting a month ago as well.

We got Gordon because he threw a hissy at Everton to get out, the fact he's doing the same now isn't surprising but you'd have hoped he'd have matured.  The last two seasons he's been very up and down performance wise, this season he's been very up and down effort wise. He'll never play for a better club than us whether he goes to Liverpool or Bayern. Off you fuck.

I hope he has a sterling campaign for England and inflates his price so we can cash in, there's a few others that can follow him too after this season, say what you like about Eddie's tactics but he's been let down massively by a few in this team.

Problem is, Liverpool only ever wanted to lowball us as they did with the rat.

One of the most selfish players ever to play for us. I won't miss him in the slightest. I was a bigger fan than most wheb he came here as well, but since the Liverpool talk it's clear he didn't want to be here and is making do.

Can't stand him tbh.

Similar. Was one of the the few advocates of the signing IF the fee was right which I think it was… (Closer to £45m than £60m).

However since the PSR scramble 2yrs ago when on the verge of signing for Liverpool I’ve always felt an ever growing detachment between the player and the club.

Of all the purples to be sold he would be the first on my list.
