Bayern Munich have increased their efforts to sign Anthony Gordon following an endorsement from England manager Thomas Tuchel. According to sources in Germany, Tuchel personally supported the move during discussions with Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl. A significant difference in valuation remains between the clubs. Newcastle insists on a fee of at least £75 million, while Bayern’s current valuation is thought to be approximately £20 million less than that amount. Sources indicate that Bayern are optimistic that negotiations can progress in the coming weeks. Gordon is reportedly more attracted to the possibility of moving to Bavaria. According to sources, Tuchel’s presence within the England setup has increased that appeal. In comments to German media, Max Eberl confirmed that Bayern are actively working on acquiring attacking players. He also confirmed that positive talks had occurred regarding a leading target, who is understood to be Gordon.

20m apart. Let's hope they fold Like they did with Diaz

Surely they can’t seriously expect to sign Gordon for £55m? We paid £45m in 2022-23, he is now in his prime, has become  a full international (2 goals in 17 appearances), played in the Champions League (10 in 12 appearances—probably the best player in the world of his ilk, Kvaratskhelia, has 10 in 15) and he has four years on his contract.

No wonder Howe is bigging him up. Only way he goes for anything near that is if he is absolutely finished here.

The Liverpool low ball tactics are in full effect which is expected.

I found the Tuchel bit interesting, and it definitely works in Newcastle's favour. Bayern are going to pay up.

Them seeing the depth of PSG has hopefully scared them into paying up, we should be planting rumours ourselves saying the cartel want him.

The rest is just boring haggling. If we want £75 mill, we'll get it.

Those rumours are out there already, and some of them may actually be true too!

Yeah, I imagine it will end up something like £65 million up front with achievable add-ons on top of that.

Boehly watching this unravel and treating it like an eBay bid, finger on the button.

65m up front feels like the bare minimum to me.

Did they work from Liverpool's point of view? They ended up spending £130million despite conspiring with the player himself to drive his value as close to zero as possible.

Aye. Long contract left, we owe Everton, bought him on a premium. 65 is the absolute minimum.

Absolutely, we went from not for sale, to only 150m to letting go at 125m.

Howay Kaka, include the source for the quote, man. We could be discussing the ramblings of Paperback for all we know here.

Bayern are minted - push em for the price you want.  There's absolutely no reason we should sell for anything less.

Anything less than that would be a steal. I feel our starting position should have been closer to £85m tbh, I think we have pitched it too low.
