Anthony Gordon: will return to training "in next few days" (Howe)

Big chance for Barnes this.

He hasn't taken the chances so far. I'd go as stupidly reactive enough to say this is his last chance. Could see us shifting Barnes in the summer, unless Gordon is off. He has to show more to his game. Glad he will get a dress rehearsal before Liverpool.

It will be (and should be) the two Joes imo

Maybe a blessing in disguise that he got a suspension. Havent been good for quite for some time and might badly need this rest.

Willock has to remember how to play football sometime right? Maybe it's worth a roll of the dice that it finally clicks. It's been tough for him, he need games to find form, doesn't justify starting when he comes on and loses more confidence. He does offer pace but the end product hasn't been there like Barnes over the past year.

You might have a point if he wasn’t missing our most important game of the season.

The replay

Definitely a mistimed push, but it's a mistimed push to the back of the head. No chance that gets reversed.

Dumb move by him, but still a bit soft compared to Cunha or that Millwall keeper. The ref didn't have to give it so eagerly. Millwall keeper needed VAR to intervene despite the worst keeper challenge since Schumacher in 1982. 43 fucking years!

If everyone is fit:

Dubravka

Tino Schar Botman Burn Hall

Bruno Tonali

Murphy Isak Joelinton

Sounds decent. Some variant of what we did vs. Arsenal. Hope PSG can work them over beforehand and show us some cracks in their armour.

Idiot.

Worked hard for 18 months and about to get his reward in 2 weeks time, only to miss it because he can't keep his emotions in check.

If that isn't an immediate lesson, I'm not sure what will be...

People are mad saying it's not a red. Even if it's a mistimed push it doesn't change the fact that he's hit the player in the head. Out for the final now too, brilliant, can't wait to hear the apology. Honestly sickened by this.

The same people would be screaming for a red if an opposition player did to one of our players.

There's abolutely no chance it gets overturned after the fact. It looks even worse in slow motion and all angles available.

That’s it for me. In real time and from a distance it was hard to tell. The close-up is just a blatant red. I initially thought it was a push in a back, but he really does just kinda twat him in the head.

People saying to sell him ffs

I’d not actively push him out the door, but if a good enough offer comes in over the Summer, it surely needs considering?

Looked off it way too much this season for me.

I'm hoping we can argue for only a 1 game ban. Whilst stupid and he did push him it was pretty tame on the violent scale.

Surely it can't be a one game ban? I can't see what kind of straight red it'd be for a 1 game ban. This kind of incident is three or it's not a red.
