Decky
I can't decide if I'd rather he had another season with Howe to try and improve him, or just send him out on loan to a lower half side where he can get 30 odd appearances and we can see what he is capable of. Not gonna write him off just yet.
David Edgar
He shouldn't be near the pitch in our final games.
buzz
I want to have faith but he doesn't look good at anything at all
nemtizz
More posts here than the Trippier thread. Imagine the shock.
TheInfiniteOdyssey
His tactical awareness and application is shocking, I thought that’s why we signed him. Can’t be for his technical ability.
The Prophet
The excuse some have been waiting for, hound him out.

Nine
Was through on goal when he got fouled for the free kick at the end.

Bada Bing
He deserves a preseason, but his bone idleness is a big worry. He’s not serious.
gbandit
I don’t have an issue with him when he has the ball, I think he’ll continue developing into a really good player. Without the ball, I just don’t understand why he looks so lazy
dcmk
A lot of the same comments were aimed at Almiron not long ago. Let's at least give him a pre-season.
mikejaxer
I wasn't happy about this signing, stupid money for a shockingly average player, just because he's young, English and has Premier League Experience™. Though I'm sstill hoping for this guy to prove me wrong and turn good.
SUPERTOON
Without jumping on him, I’m still yet to see what he’s good at? He’s also really lazy out of possession.
Guest reefatoon
I’m a little surprised at how lethargic he looks. When he was at Everton he was all over the place, chasing everything. Doesn’t seem to be doing that here which is surprising, as I thought his energy and running would be a huge asset. A good pre season will help get him in the fold. Myleftboot
Coming on for half an hour I thought he was going to be running round like a wild man. Didn’t happen.
SiLvOR
Looked incredibly slow not only physically but in the mind as well. The ball to Isak for the offside goal had to come way sooner, we all said it in the match thread. Played like he couldn't give a fuck. I haven't jumped all over him just yet because he's shown glimpses of *something* but today he lacked effort or conviction. Not ideal when we're up against a battling Leeds side. Anyways let’s not write him off, he may come good, the timing was poor but it is what it is.
Sempiternal
His off the ball awareness is close to zero out of possession
Beren
Still not writing him off, but he is my pet peeve I think I definitely am forming a bias against the guy. Got unreasonably pissed off at him for getting dispossessed. The fucker just does not know when to release the ball.
Sean
Him being on the pitch seems to coincide with us not doing very well as a team. Very very short timespan to be making a correlation, but so far that seems to be the case. /slightlytoungeincheek
Lazarus
Im cool with Gordon tbh. Some players take a bit longer to settle into a new club and some of our own players have taken a while to adapt to Howes methods. Remember how Almiron was transformed in pre season? And Murphy took even longer.
TheBrownBottle
Only bit which truly frustrated me was with two mins injury time left he gives away a daft foul - and then picks the ball up and walks over to argue. He needs his neck wound in quick with that stuff - it runs the clock down and loses momentum. I’m also unaware of many occasions in 160 years of the codified game that picking the ball up and shouting at the ref results in the decision being overturned. Newcastle Fan
He was such a needless purchase this season, doesn't offer much and clearly needs time to develop, maybe with more games next season in Europe it will allow him the chance to get more chances and grow.
