mighty__mag
Think I'd ask ASM to go Right and have Gordon on the left and swap Miggy out, maybe give him 15 more minutes.

toontownman
More than a bit frustrating. Silly goal to concede. We look tired. Having the likes of Targett and Isak back in, even Ashby might be very important If we have any chance of sustaining in the league. We just have too small a squad in terms of quality to have injures to our best players. One third of our PL squad are effectively useless to us in this league and where we want to be. ponsaelius
Maxi's not been good and there's no doubt that he doesn't follow the natural rhythm and movements that other players are drilled into now. That's partly because he hasn't been playing, and partly because he probably never will do. To compensate for this you need to get the ball to him quicker and let him take players out the game. We're prosaic at times. Edited February 4, 2023 by ponsaelius
TheBrownBottle
The only worry for me is the huge intensity drop off early in the half, just like midweek. Bruno’s absence hurts the back line as much as anything, but West Ham’s midfield has been first class. Even with that, if Trippier doesn’t switch off at the corner we’re still one up. I do think the complaints re lack of signings needs to settle down. We were told the budget wasn’t there, and it wasn’t. Howe doesn’t like signing loads of players, either. This rebuild will take years, not 12 months.
The Prophet
Hard to tell if the lack of creativity is Bruno's absence or just us looking leggy. To be fair Rice has been really good.

The Butcher
7 wingers in the matchday squad. No striker and no midfielder on the bench. We had a glorious chance to balance the squad this window, but we failed badly. This might be a bit hyperbole as we just had a bad half, but I do fear for us this half of the season. Hope I'm wrong like

Rich
Antonio is a right nuisance, like, Schär in particular struggling with him, but Botman’s had a few moments too. Let’s see how we come out second half, we can’t be that poor again. What a ball from Longstaff btw, class that.

midds
ASM is struggling badly out there and looks like a weak link tonight. Doesn't help with his style of play that it appears like he doesn't give much of a fuck and/or isn't trying. Not accusing him off that but at times that how he plays and that's how it looks - getting beaten to 50/50s with pace, going down easily, pulling out of 50/50s etc. Needs to up his game or subbing off tbph

Stifler
We lack in CM and we know that, but FFP meant we could not buy anyone else in January. We brought in Gordon because he became available and was a target for us. Our other targets and those in CM did not become available otherwise we would have got them instead of Gordon who we would have waited for until the summer instead. aussiemag
We were out battled and outclassed in the midfield. It did look better with Joelinton moving to the deeper central role, but we can’t retain possession or progress the team forward. Maxi isn’t offering an outlet on the left.
