Yes. It's the 2024 ammendments that City are challenging. The rule that was brought in in 2021 just after our takeover, would still be in place according to Douglas. Have the rest of the media missed this or has Douglas got it wrong?

Was the 2021 rule that was brought in about Related Party Transactions and FMV. It has morphed into a more nebulous Associated Party Transaction Rules that give the PL the ability to cast a much wider net. City have assembled a bloody expensive legal team which includes four KC’s all with different areas of expertise to deal with amendments and at the end APT could still be left in place even if they win!

If we and Villa were to buy a player off each other, could we solve both our FFP issues for the year? @brummie who you got for us?

Elliot Anderson for Jacob Ramsey, £25 million each. Job done!

Yeah, I've just read the times article again, the ones who broke the story and they say City are looking to end the APT rules.

Agreed - the change in Feb were just the hump that broke the camels back.  City want APT rules chucked out which is why the likes of Henry Winter are whining as they know it will allow the likes of Newcastle to spend.

Sell the training ground and lease it back for £1 a year on a long term contract.

It’s open season now for taking the absolute piss. Fuck the lot of them

This is what happens though, stupid loopholes to get around the stupid rules they're trying to force through.

If not this, there will just be another workaround. Clubs willxve employing the best in the business to work out how to circumvent the rules.

We could have done with a "best in the business" last January when our squad was paper thin

UEFA still don't allow it though, right?

No idea tbh.

I’m not even sure if UEFA rules are over a 3 year period or a 1 year one. It may be Chelsea took advantage because they weren’t in Europe this year, and we could next year.

Was it subject to fair market checks ?

Only applies when property is sold under value to avoid taxes, we could sell our training ground to the Ruben’s for a £1b

I’m not sure but it’s important to understand the punishments given by Uefa are much less draconian than what the EPL gives out. As I keep mentioning psg lost 600m euro over the last 3 financial years and that’s valuing the dodgy sponserships at full value, and what’s the punishment for these unprecedented losses? Supervisory measures
