It is not passed directly to clubs as a £1million invoice but taken off revenue distribution figures. As these also go towards profitability and sustainability calculations, this is rather an unfortunate position. A governing body that scrutinises balance sheets and hands down punishments if the sums do not add up is actively costing clubs money. Wooooooooof

Clubs who have not finished in the top 10 consistently for the last six seasons will be protected from going bust by being limited to two transfers per window, to a maximum value of £5m each. We’re delighted to ensure the sustainability of clubs and will do all we can to help them prosper for a brighter and safer future”
Maggies
Reading the ruling, the logic is: - as 3 of the ATP rules were found unlawful then the whole of ATP was found unlawful. Premier League argue that the new rules resolve the 3 illegal ATP rules which makes the new rules still enforceable. The new ATP are under a legal challenge by City so they may yet also be found illegal. So it’s not an fully open goal for us yet (unless we had deals knocked back between 2021-24) but it’s could very likely become an open goal for us soon. Likelylad
You know what really pisses me off about the PL and it was the same during our takeover. The complete and utter arrogance along with disdain for anyone who dares to disagree just seeps through. Utterly contemptible organisation with that smug and condescending twat Masters right there at the top of it.

Miggys First Goal
So PL get the bill of £20m, which in turn is passed onto the 20 clubs, which in turn affects the PSR of each club, which in turn leads to 20 clubs suing the PL? So... PL are completely done? Edited February 14 by Miggys First Goal

The fact they’re not backdating them is likely a smoking gun to make the new rules illegal as well.
Nucasol
Even the bootlicking BBC and their Chief Cuckold Dan Roan are seeing this as bad for the PL which basically means it’s fucking terrible for them.

midds
So if APTs are essentially illegal and unenforceable then how much longer will Fair Market Value bullshit exist for in the future? It's all connected and it feels like it's all about to come crumbling down and we (and Villa and Forest) steam in and invest the money that is there to be invested. The rules were clearly complete bullshit and are snapping one at a time
