TK-421
Apologies if posted already on another thread, but appears that Chel$ea were permitted to sell their womens team to a subsidiary company, for around £200m, and it helped actually put them into PSR profit. David Edgar
I think I sorted our PSR woes at the weekend in the club shop. New right winger on me, I guess.
gbandit
Bit worse than that like, they’re a wilful enabler rather than just an absent governing body

So then every other club can set up a subsidiary and sell their women's tem to themselves for 200 mil or market value blah blah
TK-421
Another tweet from Borson, they've basically valued their womens team at around 20x its revenue, and he suggests other similar revenue clubs could do the same.
Big Geordie
Chelsea cooking the books and the PL doing bugger all eh? Who'd have thought it.

I kind of respect it. They're taking the absolute piss out of rules that are in no way fit for purpose, granted we all know the reaction if PIF tried to pull this. Gaztoon
Chelsea killing the whole bullshit on the quiet. Prem know they lose if they even try and punish a club like Chelsea.. the end is coming 😁
Turnbull2000
Gonna be raging if Chelsea cost us a CL place. They've essentially cheated their way to the top 5. And then next season they'll potentially have a £100 million pure cash war chest thanks to Infantino's pet project.

They've found and exploited loophole after loophole and it's all been waved through by the PL as 100% legit. The more ridiculous it sounds the more of a joke they appear to be. Not much different from a cynical side stopping attack after attack with tackles in the middle third and the ref allowing them to get on with it. At some point you have to say "well if they're always going to get away with it then why would they stop? No sanction at all, don't blame them"
Wolfcastle
Sheffield United, Southampton, Leicester, Ipswich and Burnley abided by these stupid rules and you just have to marvel at the competitiveness that was created as they all went down with less than a whimper. Forest decided not to follow the rules and took the risk of a points hit and are a thriving enterprise now. But that's bad. Its far better, fairer and competitive if clubs that come up just follow the rules, give up and let themselves be humiliated for a year,
Colos Short and Curlies
Give it 2 years and Chelsea will have sold the same thing twice over. Either that or they'll find a way to sell the actual club to their owners and recognise the sale as pure PSR profit

The PL clubs had the opportunity to change the rules around sell of assets but they didn’t vote for a change. Not sure that cheated is the right word it’s more akin to manipulation of the crazy regulations We as yet haven’t seen the full breakdown but one thing for sure is that SLBN who is the supposed expert on club finance ( he really isn’t) has his tail between his legs because he simply isn’t close to being in the know and his projecting Chelsea making a £200 million loss are clearly way off it seems that if you ignore sums generated from inter company sale then the 23/24 numbers show circa a £70 million loss as opposed to a 22/23 loss of £180 million so clearly there are far more elements to factor in rather than just the headlines. For instance has amortisation alongside the wage bill reduced ? Edited 3 hours ago by Terraloon
