Just don’t think it’s a priority, or on their radar have they even acknowledged NUST raising the matter ?

Don’t know about any response to NUST But the message to the club is as simple as this - standing creates a better atmosphere, can we have more standing please. And if not, why not ? Optimistic Nut
Mentioned a few times but never found a valid reason against it, is there any reason we shouldn't be looking to reduce the Family Enclosure? That could get a couple thousand more up near the Level 7 corner with a little bit of a rejig? 7,500 is huge, obviously it's good families can go but even if it was reduced to 3,750 or so, it's still way more opportunity for families than it was in the 90s when it was a lockout for everyone other than season ticket holders. Having the family section bordering the away fans has always struck me as absolutely mental The last thing I want if I’m taking my kid to the match is to be next to a load of green street wannabes who’ve come to Newcastle for the sesh and are seeking a pugilistic dance whilst off their lips on lager and low grade cocaine Edited June 24, 2025 by bobbydazzla

Dr.Spaceman
I think the fan build up stuff is fine when you're doing well, but can you imagine it during the dark days at SJP?
Optimistic Nut
Personal taste but I cannot stand the current version of Blaydon Races. Preferred the old one as part of the build up.

Wolfcastle
That 16 second clip makes it look like the whole ground bar one bloke is just standing or sitting there, but its no great for context. He's singing it wrong anyway so probably confused people, its the Andy Cole song clapping rhythm to a chant that never had clapping in it
NUFC91
TBF that video says more that fans don't know songs than the atmosphere or as much as... We were away back end of last season and "cum on the feel the noise" was playing so after a few bevies we were singing: So make some fucking noise And cheer on Eddie's boys Howay Newcastle, howay Newcastle Obviously just a laugh, some lads said that's cringe and broke into Sandro ole ole ole. Still don't understand why howay the lads is not a main staple... Said it several times but missed a trick not expanding safe standing and getting people together....
