Eddie would of had scout reports off last season in fact he's that committed I'd be surprised if he didn't go and watch him himself, in my mind Minteh is just Franz Carr. We've already tried to get one of the best right wingers in the league. It's also been made very clear this is a priority position this summer, and a good chunk of the budget will go towards it. Straight cash. Allows us far more flexibility in the market. And even if the club really wants DCL, his price is only going to continue to go down through the summer, and so will only get him for cheaper towards the end of the window. If it's a priority position then let's at least have a look at the lad that other clubs are supposedly looking at dropping £40m on? Cash without doubt. I don’t want DCL. I don’t see him as the “future”. Also depending on contract he might end up being dead wood that is impossible to get rid of because of wages. I want players that we can rely on in every way possible. Can’t afford to take these risks imo. Yea they might pay off at times but I don’t think it’s worth it. I also get the feeling that if we got a small points deduction it wouldn't be the end of it as far as negative consequences go. The cartel would come after us even more aggressively and use the points deduction as evidence that we are bad faith actors who have no intention of playing by the rules and find other ways to get at us. I think they have been keeping an eye on him already, and the talk was that he would likely go out on loan again. However, they were going to look at him over preseason to see if he could be a part of the squad, although that was mentioned when we were in with a chance of Europe.
