So anyway, I've chosen to believe it was a speculative effort he rifled at goal in the hopes an attacker would take the rebound, but he's so good and struck it so well that it just went in. 30% shot, 70% cross as he only gave himself a 3/10 chance of scoring, he probably would have said 50/50 if Onana was in the net.

He just needs to shut up now and say no more about it.

As I said in the match thread, I think it was an instinctive strike at goal intended to cause as much havoc as possible. He didn't have much time to think and the glance into the box would have shown only one poorly placed black and white shirt (Wilson). He hit it perfectly and got a bit lucky, but he deserves the credit for it. It certainly wasn't a cross in the traditional sense from his body shape and the way he struck the ball. You can't include it in those lofted crosses that drift in over the keeper's head and for that reason it should be in the reckoning for goal of the season.

I think hes about on par with Rice. Though he is a few years younger than Rice as well.

No way would I consider swapping him for Declan Rice mind. I actually quite like Rice. I think he's a canny player but Tonali is a level up for me.

Eddie says that he's seen him practicing from that angle and Eddie says he's always worried incase he breaks our goalkeepers wrists he has so much power.

I think that Sandro is just playing it down so that he doesn't sound flash

So the rest of the league goalies won't expect it to happen again 😄
