That Florian Plettenberg is tweeting this now, based on the Sky Sports Germany report.

Saying we rejected an initial approach, and a deal today would be difficult.

I'd agree about today, but reckon Tonali is away in the summer.

To be fair, on his day, Sandro is very, very good and he was part of a formidable midfield three last season. But having had a good luck at him for a couple of season, with good recruitment, he's very replaceable.

Not that I want to see him leave at all like, just wouldn't be as wounding as say Bruno or Isak.

Signing good players is fucking hard man. All this ‘so and so is replaceable’ is annoying to read when weve not definitively improved any starting spot since 2023.

So true this its unbelievable how quickly some fans want to sell the few top stars we have

I don't think Sky Sports Germany have ever got anything right like

They got the Thiaw deal right when Downie was denying it, but yes its mostly miss.

No smoke without fire I guess agent wants his next pay day and assume wouldn't do it without Tonali saying he was open to seeing what else was out there.

Hopefully if he does go it will be outside of the prem.

Feel like there is a lot of naivety as to what goes on behind the scenes with players/agents/clubs. Most player agents are going to put feelers out. It could be that he fuckin hates the toon and wants out asap, it could be that he wants to use it to get more money, it could be an agent just being an agent, there are countless reasons. This is all just part of the game.

The only thing I would say is that the timing of this is very peculiar. Nowt to be gained from this coming out today. For anyone.

If his agent is agitating already I think it's fair to say he'll be gone in the summer. Even if we qualify for CL we simply can't offer the same wages as the septic 6.

The Isak precedent has also shown that the club will ultimately fold if you down tools.
