If you’re the sort of person that gives credence to everything you read on the Twatter than by mid June your brain will look like Dot Cotton’s growler

Are we likely to sell him? I’m not that sure to be honest.

I’m 50/50 on it - Gordon is gone I think, and Livramento most likely is.  I’m not sure anyone would meet our asking price for Tonali, and assuming he doesn’t do an Isak he might well be back here next season.  But I wouldn’t blame Howe for not risking any players with a question mark over their future.

Maresca 's Manchester City had also considered Tonali. Here, another source of Italian pride emerges: the presence of managers like Maresca and De Zerbi in the Premier League

Italian football really is in the doldrums if this is a source of pride

If people start "doing an Isak" we need to keep them in the reserves for the remainder of their contracts. Can't have that become a thing  :buck2:

This was my thoughts at the time.  Still think we'd have been better off if we forced him to stay for the season, club was weak and it definitely can't happen again.

Would have been a great ‘sliding doors’ moment. Likelihood is he would have chucked the dummy for a few months and then had a great half season and we’d all have been better off for it.

I thought we should have stood firm at the time, but given his injuries since, I'm kind of glad we got big money for him. He'll never be worth that much again.

That assumes he would get the same injuries he had this season for Liverpool in our shirt which doesn’t really make any sense. I’d have rather kept him than sold him and used the money the way we did last summer.

He was getting a lot of niggles with us anyway. Nothing serious but there was always a feeling in the back of my mind he was a bit fragile.

Sell this useless Italian clogger for the rebuild. Can’t do a 3 yard pass and couldn’t give two shits about you lot even though you basically saved his career.

Maybe it's just cause I'm completely scunnered with football at the moment, but I really couldn't give a fuck if we keep him around or not right now.

Honestly, if he's angling for a move and his agent is flashing his skirt at cartel clubs I'd rather he just fucks off, I can't be arsed with the bullshit sagas this time around.

Yeah, think his people have been unbelievably disrespectful with all the noise and hawking about everywhere. Couldn't even wait till the end of the season. Been going on since January for goodness sake.
