This is absolutely mouth watering. Reads like another highly professional player who will help drive standards even higher.

He’s going to fit in like a glove. Too bad we don’t have any Italian speakers in the squad?

Get the resident linguist, Bruno, to learn it. Will probably only take him a few weeks

Another signing that will help when trying to convince more quality to sign up.

I'm obviously bias as fuck but surely any potential signings will need minimal convincing when they see players like this joining.

We also seem to be very good at convincing players to join (it obviously helps when targeting players whose wages we can significantly increase).

Newcastle United have signed AC Milan and Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract, becoming Eddie Howe's first signing of the summer as his side prepares for Champions League football.

The reported ÂŁ55m fee would make him the most expensive Italian footballer of all time.

Rewind time 2 years and imagine reading that

Some reponses from other clubs forums:

Aston Villa https://www.villatalk.com/topic/9228-chop-chop-lets-all-gawp-at-newcastle-again/page/602/:

Tonali confirmed.

I don't really understand why no one else is in for him if he was available, at any price. Is he on massive wages?

They're paying the same as Utd are for Mount.

They're paying almost half what Arsenal are for Rice.

He's comfortably better than both.

Arsenal https://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/non-arsenal-transfer-thread-summer-2023.36114/page-184:

i still can't believe Mailan actually sold him. we'll see how he settle.

Man City https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/newcastle-thread-2023-24.360685/page-2#post-16238651:

Tonali is a great signing - quality player.

Man Utd https://www.redcafe.net/threads/tonali-vs-longstaff.450245/page-3 :

I can’t believe he’s gone Newcastle. What a player.

Liverpool  https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=345788.18360 :

Tonali will become one of the most popular players in the league in the way he plays

Some unsurprising bitterness in those threads.

How dare we have the nerve to spend money and sign a player

Love that Athletic article.

Seems someone is using Edwards as a mouthpiece to run and shout our smokescreen offers while we get the real business done.

Not that Edwards knows that I doubt, he still thinks he's getting the latest scoops.
